The Pistons vs. The Knicks

The 0-3 #Pistons will host the 2-1 New York Knicks at the Palace of Auburn Hills Wednesday night. Detroit will be after their first win of the season when they hit the court.

The good: Greg Monroe, Andre Drummond and Brandon Jennings had strong games in the Palace opener.

The unknown: Van Gundy is considering starting his a big front line of Josh Smith, Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond.

Pistons:: Gigi Datome and Cartier Martin are doubtful (or more like doubful they’ll get any playing time). Jodie Meeks is out.
Nets:: Quincy Acy is probable and Andrea Bargnani and Jose Calderon are out.

Fact:Detroit was 2-1 against New York last season. This was the first season series New York has lost to the Detroit Pistons since the 2006-07 season.
Fact:Andre Drummond averaged 14.0 points and 18.0 rebounds in three games against the Knicks last season.
Fact:Carmelo Anthony averaged 29.0 points in three games against the Pistons last season.

Josh Smith almost helped the Knicks complete a comeback by himself. Why is he even in the endgame?
