The Pistons vs. The Thunder

The 2-6 #Pistons are Oklahoma City to take on the 3-6 Thunder Friday night. Detroit will try to win just their third game of the season, while the Thunder is going after their 11th consecutive victory against the Pistons.

The good:

  • Kentavious Caldwell-Pope’s shot is looking better and better as the games pass. Caldwell-Pope, who had 20 points with four 3s Wednesday in the Pistons loss to the Wizards, scored a career-best 30 points at Oklahoma City on April 16, 2014.
Brandon Jennings put on a heck of a show against John Wall scoring a season high 32 points and this ridiculous behind the back pass to himself.

The bad: Andre Drummond has taken a bit of a step back the last couple of games has totaled four points and 10 fouls in his last two games.
The unknown: Will the Pistons dominate over an injury plagued Thunder even with all the success Oklahoma City has had over Detroit? The big question however is can the Pistons learn to close out games successfully?

: Gigi Datome and Cartier Martin are doubtful (or more like doubtful they’ll get any playing time). Jodie Meeks is out.
Thunder: Kevin Durant, Grant Jerrett, Perry Jones, Mitch McGary, Andre Roberson, Russell Westbrook are all out.

Fact: The Pistons last win against the Thunder was a 90-88 victory on 12/26/08.
Fact: Greg Monroe averaged 21.0 points and 11.5 rebounds against the Thunder last season.

Tip off is at 8:00 pm and will be broadcast on Fox Sports Detroit . If you can’t catch the game on TV, catch it on the radio over at Detroit Sports 105.1.
