The Pistons vs The Nuggets

The 25-41 #Pistons are Denver to take on the 30-37 Nuggets Wednesday night. Despite pulling some victories together the Nuggets will miss the playoffs for the most likely miss the playoffs for the first time since 2002-03.
The good: The Nuggets seem to play well against the elite teams, but lost to teams below 500. Detroit certainly fits into the scheme for a win against Denver if that holds true.
The bad: Detroit has lost four consecutive road games to the Nuggets. Andre Drummond is out for the Denver game, but questionable for Friday’s contest in Phoenix. Personally I’d be ok with the Pistons shutting him down for a while to prevent further injury.
The unknown: Will Josh Smith be the Josh Smith Joe Dumars hoped for when he signed him while he’s playing his natural position with Andre out.
Pistons: Chauncey Billups, Josh Harrellson and Andre Drummond out. Peyton Siva is day-to-day.

Stat: The Nuggets have lost eight of the last 14 games to Detroit and 17 of the last25 meetings since the 2000-01.
Stat: The Pistons are 1-0 this season against Denver. Brandon Jennings led the Pistons that night with a season-high 35 points.
Tip off is at 9:00 pm and will be broadcast on Fox Sports Detroit . If you can’t catch the game on TV, catch it on the radio over at 97.1 The Ticket.

nat u should have no trouble trading your josh smith jersey. Find an atlanta hawks fan. They feel really sorry for us and having the jersey will remind them that no matter how bad things are in atlanta at least they don’t have josh smith. See if you can get a Kyle Korver in exchange. You know, the guy we should have signed.

This has been a frustrating year for the Pistons and their fans – many things needs to change if they are to return to the playoffs, and many more things need to change if they are to return to prominence. Dumars knows better than all of us what those things are, from the top of the organization on down.
