The 20-29 #Pistons will host the 24-24 Denver Nuggets Saturday night at the Palace of Auburn Hills. The Nuggets have won two straight, while Detroit will try to go for their fourth straight win on their home floor.
The good: The Pistons put up one of their best performances of the season Friday night against the Nets on great games from Brandon Jennings, Andre Drummond and Josh Smith. Despite the Pistons record at home, they’ve played much better of late in Auburn Hills.
The Nuggets will be without Javale McGee, who seems to put up great games against Detroit. Denver is allowing an average of 114.7 points while going 3-7 over its last 10 on the road.
The bad: Josh Smith left the Nets game late in the fourth quarter with an ankle injury. He said he’s good to go for Saturday’s contest, Detroit just hope he’s as effective as he was Friday night.
The Nuggets swept the series from the Pistons last season.
The unknown: Can the Pistons put two stellar game together on back-to-back nights? Will we see Will?
Injuries:
Pistons: Josh Harrellson (knee) out.
Nuggets: Danilo Gallinari, Javale McGee and Nate Robinson – Out. Ty Lawson – Probable.
Fact: Ex Pistons Scott Hastings will be calling the action for the Denver broadcast.
Tip off is at 7:30 pm and will be broadcast on Fox Sports Detroit . If you can’t catch the game on TV, catch it on the radio over at 97.1 The Ticket.
