Brandon Jennings Tweets then Deletes – Is He Unhappy With His His “New” Role?

Brandon Jennings sound like a very unhappy basketball player right now.  Shortly after the Pistons loss to the Knicks Jennings posted this tweet which he deleted just minutes later.

Thanks to a quick thinking Pistons fan @mikea71 for getting the screen cap before it was deleted.

We have another tweet by Jennings that he sent minutes after this one and quickly deleted again .

Take this any way you want to, but for me this sounds like someone who is clearly upset, weather it be with the losing streak, the media, the fans or coaching. You could almost see something like this coming when he walked off the court after the Grizzlies trashing.

Remember,  he’s no stranger for speaking his mind on twitter.

This may be thinking into this too much, but considering all the things that have gone wrong with the Pistons in the past it almost seems obvious.  Especially with the losing streak.

There were quite a few different ideas from other Pistons fans as well as the beat writers.

  1. Greg

How does that tweet imply that he doesn’t like his new role?

Did you just decide to make that part up yourself?

All he said was he’s a pass first PG, not a scorer anymore. Nothing said about whethere he liked that or not.

  2. Tycoon

Maybe he’s just frustrated that he could have done better if he took that game winning shot. Then deleted his tweet right after he realized the number of shots he takes a game.

So chill is obviously directed at the fans who most assuredly bashed him via twitter after his and the teams performance tonight.

Monroe tweeted too about “twitter thugs”. They are just responding to the hate they are getting on twitter.

The anger from fans is nothing knew though. With twitter comes fan access to players.

Brandon Jenning’s is angry he plays with a chip on his shoulder. I don’t think he is unhappy with his role but he is just angry and unhappy period. He thinks this team should win. Well so do I brandon, so do I. I understand his anger and think it’s ok. What would not be ok is to pretend this team is doing fine.

not sure if i would assume too much from his tweet…i do think the tweet and then the deletion speaks towards obvious frustration…lets be real.. Jennings can score the rock and as a fan (die-hard) of the Pistons i would like to see him and the coaching staff find a balance… we got a damn guard that can break sum1 down at will and create for others and himself…at times game situations are gonna be different and i personally would like to see Jennings exploit the hell out of skills set and go to work… lets face it he can score the damn ball — i would like to see him put up more shots… #balance
