The 14-17 #Pistons are in Washington to play the second game of a back-to-back against the 12-14 Wizards. The Pistons should have something to prove when they take the court after their disappointing loss against the Magic on Friday night.
The good: The Pistons have won the last seven games against the Wizards.
The bad: Detroit doesn’t do well on second games of back-to-backs. The last time these two teams met Trevor Ariza put up 28 points for the Wizards.
The unknown: Can Greg Monroe, and Josh Smith bounce back from their sub-par games in Orlando and help the Pistons on the offensive end against the Wizards?
Injuries: Rodney Stuckey looks like he re-aggravated his shoulder injury, but there is no word yet on whether he’ll be healthy enough to play Saturday night.
Fact: Greg Monroe scored 24 points and grabbed 16 rebounds in the home opener becoming the first Piston with double-double in a home opener since 2007.
Stat: Andre Drummond now ranks second in the NBA in field goal percentage with 61.3%.
Stat: Chauncey Billups ranks second all-time in Detroit Pistons history for most 3-point field goals made, trailing only Joe Dumars.
Tip off is at 7:00 pm and will be broadcast on Fox Sports Detroit . If you can’t catch the game on TV, catch it on the radio over at 97.1 The Ticket.
The pistons are playing some atrocious ball, I thought they would focus for the wiz. Worst ft and shot selection in the league. There is no cohesion, with our back court constantly struggling/never finding rhythm and our front court has lost the presence and power that we hyped it up to be.
Tough to be a piston fan.
Uuuuuuuuugly
What’s sad is that you can see they have the pieces to be successful. They just don’t know how to do it. Sometimes their selfish, sometimes they take the WORST shots ever.
Jennings clearly walked off court pissed.
What is Cheeks doing?
