The Pistons vs. The Trail Blazers

The 11-13 #Pistons will host the 19-4 Portland Trail Blazers at the Palace of Auburn Hills Sunday evening.  Detroit will have their hands full when they go up against the West-leading Trail Blazers who haven’t lost a game against a team in the East this season.

The good: Detroit has won the last two home games against the Blazers.  The last time these two teams met Detroit gave the Blazers a run for their money on their home court losing 109-103.
The bad: The Pistons are just 1-8 on the year against Western division teams.

Josh Smith on blowing a 21 point lead against the Nets: “We have to learn to execute that much harder and not act kind of lackadaisical whenever we feel like we have the game won.” Via NBA.com

The unknown: Can Brandon Jennings  repeat his performance this time around after leading all scorers when these teams last met with 28 points, especially against Damian Lillard, who’s proved he’s a threat in just his second season in the NBA. Can Andre Drummond and Greg Monroe stop LeMarcus Aldridge, who’s leading his team in PPG with 23.4 points a game, and always steps up when he plays against Detroit.
Injury Report: Bynum is still listed as doubtful with his left adductor strain.

Stat: Andre Drummond still leads the NBA in field goal percentage with 62.9%
Fact:The Detroit Pistons are first in the NBA for most points in the paint with 51.2 per game.

Tip off is at 6:00 pm and will be broadcast on Fox Sports Detroit . If you can’t catch the game on TV, catch it on the radio over at 97.1 The Ticket.

    that SUCKED.

    Josh Smith played great.

But hard to learn from a loss no matter how good you play.

Not sure you can blame cheeks. Because if Mo is the reason that Josh Smith turned in such a great game that’s to his credit. Portland is one of the best teams in the NBA right now we should be happy we almost won. But almost winning sucks, especially an overtime game where we outplayed them for 47 minutes and they outplayed us for a minute or two.

Tough loss. Portlandia hits last second shot in OT. Our second highest paid player did not get a minute of playing time. CV31 is no doubt the highest paid bench warmer in the NBA.
