The 10-10 #Pistons will host the 15-5 Miami Heat at the Palace of Auburn Hills Sunday evening. Detroit, who have won four in a row, one of which was a win in Miami on Tuesday night, would love to extend their winning streak with a win at home.
The good: The Heat could again be without Dwyane Wade who missed Tuesday’s game in Miami against the Pistons. Detroit held the HEAT to 43.9% (36-82 FG) shooting Tuesday night, their lowest percentage for the year.
The bad: The Pistons big three weren’t very productive offensively in Detroit’s win against the Bulls. The dynamic three must be productive in order for Detroit to have a change against the World Champs.
The unknown: Chauncey Billups returned to practice on Friday is close to a return. He is still listed as day-to-day and Will Bynum is doubtful with his left adductor strain. Can Andre Drummond stay out of foul trouble this time around against Miami?
If the Pistons can beat the Heat for the second time in a week, can you consider them to have turned the corner?
Stat: Andre Drummond still leads the NBA in field goal percentage with 63.0%
Fact: The Pistons current four-game road winning streak matches the longest such streak since the 2007-08 season.
Fact: The Pistons haven’t won a regular-season series against the HEAT since 2007-08.
Tip off is at 6:00 pm and will be broadcast on Fox Sports Detroit . If you can’t catch the game on TV, catch it on the radio over at 97.1 The Ticket.
why does cv playing? i don’t get it?
i’ll pretend i didnt watch this. Damn band wagon heat fan asscats in our stadium cheering for the wrong team.
BEAT THE WOLVES ON OUR NEXT GAME!!! BECAUSE I WAS SO DISSAPOINTED AND ANGRY WITH THE PISTONS PERFORMANCE AGAINST THE HEAT AN HOUR AGO!!!
Heat fans in Detroit… just wrong..
this team can’t bring it every night, that’s clear now. But I’m glad they brought it a couple of games in one week.
Some interesting lineups tried by Cheeks.
Comes back to containing BJ and JS again and again. Focus guys. Stop turning the ball over, and stop taking dumbass shots. At least Stuckey’s drives get him to the line. Josh has a lot to learn there.
I’d rather see the 24 run down than see those guys take a dumb shot with the bigs out of position, leading to a fast break the other end. Really, who takes a bad shot when there is 0% chance of an offensive rebound? I’d even ask them to throw the ball to the bench, as it at least stops the fast breaks.
What we are getting out of this is investment into Siva, which is good. We’ll need him to be comfortable off the bench for some time. I’m impressed with how comfortable he looks.
