The Pistons vs. The Kings

The 2-5 #Pistons are in Sacramento to take on the 2-5 Kings Friday night. Detroit will try to end their four game skid in Sacramento especially since they can’t seem to win on the West coast. The Pistons however have won eight of the last 10 games against the Kings.

  • The good: It’s going to be another Greg Monroe and DeMarcus Cousins battle. Greg seems to be making the best of his games against Cousins and the Kings. Monroe recorded his first triple-double of his career with 21 points, 12 rebounds and a career-high 11 assists on 11/7/12 at Sleep Train Arena.
  • The bad: Detroit’s defense of late has been terrible and the fact that they can’t seem to win a game in the Pacific timezone doesn’t help their case much.
  • The unknown:Detroit may be without Chauncey Billups who’s nursing a sore knee. Stuckey will likely start for Detroit in his place. Can the Pistons wash away their awful performance against the Warriors with a win?

Tip off is at 10:30 pm and will be broadcast on Fox Sports . If you can’t catch the game on TV, catch it on the radio over at 97.1 the Ticket.

Pistons have had a very tough schedule so far this season. Hopefully they can turn the corner and start winning. With Billups out with a knee injury, looks like KCP will get his first of many starts in the NBA. I hope Gigi gets more minutes at SF than a slumping Singler. Go Pistons!

josh smith, drummond had a great game. Monroe was invisible. We still need a lot of work on defense, but I think Mo cheeks really wants to give up a lot of uncontested 3’s, we do it too much for it not to be part of his plan about collapsing the defense, against the king’s an awful 3 point shooting team it worked but . . . defense needs work.
