The Pistons vs. The Pacers

The 2-1 Pistons host the 3-0 Indiana Pacers Tuesday evening at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Detroit would love to keep it going after their Sunday win against the Celtics while Indian wants to start their season to 4-0 for the for the first time in nine years.

  • The good: Danny Granger and George Hill could miss tonight’s game for the Pacers. The Pistons Big 3 are coming off a great game.
  • The bad: This is a though Pacers team that has won their last five against Detroit by an average of 17 points. Detroit must cut down on the turnovers to beat this Pacers game.
  • The unknown: Will Brandon Jennings and the Pistons Big 3 continue to roll against a very good Pacers team?

It sucks that I’m going to miss most of this one thanks to being in school. Sometimes I hate the fact that I’m trying to better myself.

Pacers beat the Pistons with a budding superstar that has two first names (Paul George) and the number 1 defensive team in the league. They do not have a bunch of lottery picks on their roster but they get the job done.

Pistons need to find a SG that can hit a 3. Hopefully KCP will be that guy. As a team they are only shooting 27% from 3 pt land so far.
The team A/TO ratio is low right now.
Gigi`s debut was not so good but he will improve.

Got to give Larry Bird credit for how he built this small market Pacer team that took the Heat to the limit last year in the playoffs before losing. His team never tanked and got top 5 picks year after year. They may be next NBA champs.

Didn’t get to see the game since I am in houston, but the scoreline doesn’t look too bad. Pacers are a good team and I root for them anytime they are not playing my Pistons.

Could we get some three point shooting next time thanks. This looked ugly, that’s how a defensive battle always looks but we had a lot of wide open 3 looks and it seemed like nothing went in while George’s heat checks didn’t even ripple the net. Luigi looked great except 0-4 man, come on, heat up a little we know you can shoot it from long distance. That’s why we lost. Inside outside, defensively rebounds, everything else was fine.

I was at the game, what pissed me off was the lineup they ran in the third quarter. Bynum and Stuckey, with no florr spacing.

What sucks even more is when you live in Germany. Games are at night and I’m not able to watch most of the games during the week because I have to get up for work in the morning ..

Another game where Brandon Jennings played like absolute garbage and got ALL the highlights on nbatv gametime. It’s ridiculous how he is getting the glory when he is the drag on this team. Seriously driving me crazy. NO defense. 4 turnovers and 6 for 20 shooting. That’s right our point guard took 20 shots and only made 6. but he took a couple shots late in the blowout to get leading scorer. ugh I can’t believe we are stunting KCPs growth for this primadonna

On the other side I really like josh smith’s defense. This was a fun game to watch tbh. It had emotion and fire and felt like a playoff game. I hope Gigi’s shooting improves. It was his first game and probably a bit of nerves but he reminded me a lot of Walter Hermann with how he played defense on Scola. Hermann did the same when playing against Dirk that one time. I’m not sure if the bigs can said they had a great game but i liked watching Drummond go up against one of the best defensive bigs in roy hibbert
