The Pistons vs. The Celtics

The 1-1 Pistons host the 0-2 Boston Celtics Sunday evening at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Boston would like to  avoid losing their first three games for the second time in three seasons, while Detroit would love to get a win after the though overtime loss against the Grizzlies.

  • The good: The great start to the season by Rodney Stuckey and the possible return of Brandon Jennings with mask.
  • The bad: This Celtics team is a different one, bad for them good for Detroit.
  • The unknown: Will this be the first (good kind) of blowout for The Motor City?

This will be a debut of the Pistons new alternative Motor City jerseys.

5 Pistons in double figures including a decent first game for Jennings. JJ and Singler came off the bench with all the rookies watching from the bench. Eventually I see Stuck and Jennings starting with Chauncey and Bynum coming off the bench.
Pistons had more steals, blocks, rebounds then a weak Celtic team. The Pistons are still not shooting well from 3 pt land.

Celtics resorted to “hack a Dre” tactics near the end of the game. Dre is only shooting 20% from the charity stripe so far this year. If he wants to play during the last minutes of a game then he better focus on hitting his free throws otherwise Mo will pull him in close games so that teams do not foul him on purpose to get the ball back.

I think we have to get used to the fact that people are going to foul DRE because of his foul shooting. Add the fact that a Rookie NBA Coach just wants to win
