It’s time (for me anyway) to start thinking about the Pistons again. I hate to say it but I’m extremely underwhelmed by this draft class. It’s not as if someone Detroit drafts at 8 will help this team, but I just don’t see a blatant superstar in the bunch regardless of the draft position.
Would I be stoked if Detroit had the #1 pick this season…no. Why? Because as a Pistons fan I’d have this thought in my head, “It figures Detroit would get the #1 pick this year.”
It’s the cynic in me, but that’s just the way I think.
I’m hoping for the best as I’m sure most NBA fans are when it’s time for their team to step up to the podium, but I’m not counting on much this season.I will however be at the Pistons Draft party tonight at the Palace to watch the pick live and listen to what Dumars and they new Piston have to say. I’ll make sure I tweet out the goodies, so follow me @Need4Sheed_com if you don’t already.
Who’s on your wish list?
Honestly the pistons would probably do themselves some good if they were able to trade whoever they drafted for a solid veteran player who can be a scoring threat for this offensively challenged team.
Why Pistons? Trey Burke was available, did you not know that?
KCP is a very good pick.
Great outside shooter and SEC player of the year.
Good defender at 6`6″ and is very fast.
Pistons just put themselves in a deeper hole with this pick…….Dumars is an idiot.
Hell Darko just tweeted that this pick was horrible.
KCP might pan out but man . . . Burke would have given the franchise a shot in the arm. Very disappointed.
