The Pistons vs. The Bobcats

The 23-47 #Pistons are in Charlotte to take on the 16-52 Bobcats Saturday night.

  • The good: Despite the losing of late, Greg Monroe continues to anchor the team. Monroe is averaging 19.3 and 11.7 boards in the last six games against the Bobcats.
  • The bad: If the Pistons lose in Charlotte they’ll match the longest losing streak in three years.
  • The unknown: Will this be the game that Brandon Knight returns for Detroit?
  • Tip off is at 7:00 pm and will be broadcast on Fox Sports. If you can’t catch the game on TV, catch it on the radio over at 97.1 the Ticket.

If you’re thinking of going to one of the few remaining games at The Palace, you can get tickets directly from the Pistons with NO FEES.

everyone on this team played like garbage except for charlie v. I am reminded how bad the bobcats are. How is it the pistons are nearly tied with them at the bottom. Balls is our only hope and we just lost one here.

We keep saying that lottery is our hope ever since we had a losing season edt. I believe we got a good team, young players to build on. In short, I dont like the idea of tanking. I want the team to compete every game, win or lose, play with full effort. Getting 30 wins and build some momentum for next season could make them feel good about themselves. One solid veteran that can lead and a healthy Drummond are what we need. We’ll be ready for playoffs next season.

btw I agree I hate tanking, but we should NOT struggle against this awful awful bobcats team. Calderon, Moose, Knight, we should dominate them.

cv had a little streak – not that impressive given the no of times he tries. the dunk on the feed from moose was nice though, cv playing his size & position for a second.

knight & bynum at rock bottom.

moose can’t play alone inside against two bigs. jj,cv, max are not big enough for this system(or lack of). well, max can put a good effort in for a few minutes. Dre + Slava need floor time.

cv has had a real good season look at his body of work 2012-2013, rebounds on defense, 3 point shooting, taking care of the rock. He’s really improved this year.

agree, almost every time he’s on the floor there is a sequence when I go ‘oh no – he’s going to do what he always does’, but this year he’s putting it on the floor, going for the rebound etc at least once or twice more than before.

with dre back, moose in, and the other real big man they have to get this summer( through free agency, trade or draft ), one or two of maxiell, cv or jj has to be dropped. I say it depends on the skillset that big brings.
