The Pistons vs. The Raptors

The 2-10 #Pistons will be hosting the 3-9 Toronto Raptors Friday night at the Palace of Auburn Hills. The Pistons hope to rebound after the atrocious outing Wednesday night against Orlando, while the Raptors desperately need a win too.

  • The good: The Raptors have dropped five of the last six matchups against the Pistons.
  • The bad: Both the Pistons and the Raptors.
  • The unknown: Will Brandon Knight ever wake up and start playing basketball like we know he can?

Tip off is at 7:30 pm and will be broadcast on Fox Sports . If you can’t catch the game on TV, catch it on the radio over at 97.1 the Ticket.

Been a long time fan of this site, but all the recent Knight bashing is getting lame..I understand he’s started slow shooting the ball this season..but he is currently 14th in the league in assists among PGs. Ahead of guys like Irving and Walker, not to mention he has a better assist to turnover ratio..I’m sorry but BK is not whats wrong with this team..They lack overall talent and I find it very telling that guys like Tay and Max still start..Even with Max playing the way he has, he has no place on this team going forward..I’ve seen plenty of progression from ALL of our young guys and steps back from a guy like Stuckey..This team still needs a giant overhaul roster wise..

I’m not bashing Knight, but realized others have. I’m just clearly stating he’s taken a step back. He just doesn’t look like the player he was last year, but I’m sure he’ll get back up to speed soon.
I don’t think anyone is saying the teams woes fall Knight.

      They’re just awful.

I think knight is playing a lot better this year than last. This year he is adequate, in the top 25 for starting point guards in the nba.

How much more can he improve that’s the question.

Well tonight stat wise he wasn’t there, but he came up huge in the CLUTCH. I like to see that from him! THis should be a huge confidence boost for the guys! Dre with a monster game as well! MAn needs to start or at least have more time with Moose. It’s so obvious this team is at it’s best when they play together.

So he’s better than 5 starting point guards? What an accomplishment.

Tay shouln’t be getting heat about starting. He’s been playing fairly well this season, and I don’t see him as a major problem right now. Jonas hasn’t earned the right to usurp him right niw with his current play.

I’d prefer Drummond starting over Max, but it’s really not a big deal as long as Drummond’s playing time goes up. The Toronto game was a a step in the right direction as far as that’s concerned.

I kept thinking how Knight’s free throw miss hurt us with such a close score, but he made up for it. Made up all right!

Very prescient having Brandon Knight as the “unknown” for tonight. He woke up for sure.

Brandon was terrific! Moose was great! Andre with lucky 13 and 13 his first career double-double.

    The Palace was Rockin

Looked like a decent crowd considering our record and we were playing an equally crappy team.

that was so hard at last night. All played clutch and struggle. I wish BK and DreDrummond plays to struggle. Drummond is not next Kwame. he was so bright.

Great game and great to see Andre and Greg together tonight. I been looking at Derrick Williams a 6″7 241lbs SF from Minnesota Timberwolves they are not using him or playing him and was Drafted #2 in 2011. I would like to see us try get him for those bench wormers we have in our roster like ” Charlie or Daye” maybe both! This guy to me is a beast and a great player will love to see him be our SF because we know we getting no Star anytime soon here.

Derrick Williams is such a talented player, but he’s also a tweener for the NBA. Has the game of a PF, but kinda short, and he’s too slow for SF. See Jonas Jerebko.

I will give them Stucky for DWilliams anyday Stucky Day Charlie Tay to me are done and wish not to see them in our roster anymore. Drew said about Jonas Jerebko the thing is the guy to me this year sucks he is not the same player wee seen in his Rookie year. D Williams is not like Jonas, Williams is more faster explosive and can knock buckets and JJ this year to me just SUCK!
