The Pistons vs. The Spurs

The 8-21 Pistons will be hosting the 19-9 San Antonio Spurs this Valentines Day at the Palace of Auburn Hills. Detroit lost both games in the season series against San Antonio last season.

  • The good: Ben Wallace will set the record for the most games played by an un-drafted player since the 1976-77 NBA-ABA merger when he takes the floor.  Tuesday night’s game (if he plays) will make it 1,055 games, one more than current record holder Avery Johnson.
  • The bad: Whatever happened against the Wizards.
  • Who to watch: Manu Ginobili, has just returned after being out 22 games with a broken bone in his hand.  Moooose!
  • The unknown: Can the Pistons bounce back after that awful performance against the Wizards to compete with the Spurs?

Great group rates on Pistons Tickets directly from the Pistons with no Ticket fees!.

Tip off is at 7:30 pm and will be broadcast on Fox Sports. If you can’t catch the game on TV, catch it on the radio over at 1270 AM WXYT.

all ben wallace does is be awesome

all ben gordon does is suck

Pistons outplayed the spurs tonight, we deserved the win, everyone played great except for ben gordon, dribbling-of-his-own-foot, can’t-hit-a-shot, technical-fouling buffoonery..

    We deserved this game.

Big Ben has his best game of the season on his record breaking night and he even hit a three and some FTs.
Pistons made a nice comeback and actually took the lead briefly before losing at the very end to a more experienced and still talented Spurs team.
BG looked like he was fouled on his last minute shot but was not called and then he got a T for arguing the call. Not smart during a close game.
All in all a very entertaining game yet another close loss.
The Pistons will sooner or later figure out how to win these close games.

Good game and congrats to Big Ben. Just looked at the box score for the Wizards -Portland game, it’s just what I thought, their on a roll now, not because they beat us the other day but because when they played the Heat the other day even though they lost they felt confident afterwards, then they brought that confidence to Detroit now Portland. Beat them in the same fashion although LA sprang-ed his ankle. Their playing pretty confident now. We’ll see how long this last.
