I posted this question on Twitter and got so many responses my computer started smoking.

Excluding Darko…Biggest disappointment in the Pistons Organization the past 10 years?

I’m not going to tell you mine, but you might be able to guess.  I would like to hear what your biggest disappointment was in the comments.

When we lost to the Spurs in ’05. REALLY wanted another back to back. Also, BG and CV31 not producing during the short lived Kuester era.

When lebron dropped 50 on us in game five in 07. I was only 9 then and I was so sad I cried all night

Tayshaun losing his consecutive games streak 4 shy of 500! I was so sad for him, you can’t just start over on something like that!

Allen Iverson did not live up to the hype. Practice? Not a game not a game.

biggest disappointment is probably Joe Dumars’s unwillingness to make anything happen for the team after the championship. Just kind of rested on the fact he put together the championship then kind of cruised

NEVER getting a big trade, Hiring Kuester, Hiring Michael Curry, Trading Chauncy, CV, Watchin Sheed fade, no back to back, Losing to Cleveland, Sheed getting dunked on by LeBron :'(

by the way Allen Iverson has told the Boston Celtics he wants to get signed there. Hahahaha! As if they would take him, even at the vet minimum it’s a waste of money. AI is more likely to show up down in Miami where they have more need of vet min players for salary cap reasons.

Larry Brown was planning his next job during our Finals run. We did not fire him.

Game 7 of the 2005 Finals really did suck. Really sticks out in my mind… junior year of high school…. basement full of best friends…. needless to say everyone was close to crying. One image of that game really sticks out in my mind from; a shot of Rip Hamilton sitting in the sauna towel draped over his head, knowing full well that day would haunt him for the rest of his life.

considering the first 3 quarters of game 7 in the 05 finals were ours and we couldn’t close it out…very heartbreaking…

    @daniel
Ever since that day, I have vowed to never be a spurs fan.

My main disappointments would be this and the losses of LB and Mr. D. Devistated the team and we are still feeling the shockwaves.

Game 7 loss to SA. or trading Billups for AI.

Since most have been brought up already, I’m going to go with the players protest of Kuester last year and basically boycotting a game. I know Kuester was not cut out for the job and fully deserved to be fired, but what the players did made me disappointed to be a Pistons fan. I’m hoping with Lawrence Frank, his staff and the new ownership we get the hard working, blue collar team back that made me proud to be a Piston Fan.

I’m going with last year’s Rip-Gate, when Kuester benched half the team, that was embarrassing.

BIGGEST DISSAPOINTMENT is SO MANY PLAYERS/STAFF changes but so little to gain from it!

Definitely the trading of Chauncey for AI. How can anyone in their right mind trade away such quality leadership and replace it with a washed up, overrated, arrogant piece of garbage in AI? I will never forgive Dumars for making such a stupid move! I must say that 3-point that Horry made in Game 5 of the 05 Finals. All we had to do was put a body on him! That scene of him being wide open haunts me to this day!

How terrible was it to hear Fred McLeod calling games for the Cavs…that guy bled Pistons blue, and to hear him get excited over LBJ, that killed me a little bit inside. Overall losing Bill Davidson is the worst thing that could have ever happened…I am hopefull Gores can hold a candle, but I’ll take a members only jacket in the front row over an unbuttoned white shirt in a suite everyday of the week.

    I have a top 3.

    1. Trading for Iverson.

    2. Charlie Villanueva being on the team.

    3. Us not getting rid of Richard Hamilton when he was still worth some money.
