The 22-39 Pistons are Milwaukee to take on the 22-36 Bucks Tuesday night. Detroit may have T-mac and Ben Wallace back in the lineup, but who knows if Kuester and Hamilton’s new found “friendship” will land him some time on the floor.
- The good: The Pistons had some rest and are coming off a nice win against Utah.
- The bad: What this mess is doing to the youngsters.
- The unknown: The starting spots are up for grabs…good thing I’m in shape.

It’s really nice to see Rip running and coming off screens again…!
And missing a ton of shots..
4 for 17 shooting. His last few ill-advised shots were daggers…into Detroit’s hearts.
Listening to the Bucks’ announcers, they were incredulous that the ball was not in Stuckey’s (or at least Gordon’s) hands in the last minute. Kuester still definitely has his faults.
losses like this remind me the pistons are just awful. this bucks team is horrible. not rip’s fault he’s missing shots, he hasn’t played nba ball for months, he should warm up after a few more games. The fact that it was 90 to 92 and could have gone either way tells you that this pistons team belongs solidly in the cellar with the bucks.
like i said dont blame rip for this loss, or q for small ball, or whoever, we really are just awful
can we FINALLY start talking serious about the draft? So what are the options at point and bigs in college? kyrie irving from duke? i never trust those duke players, they are well schooled, but the coaching there is so good, sometimes they make players look better in college and they dont transition well. kanter is like 260 6’11, but . .. he’s from turkey and we all remember darko.
jared sullinger from ohio he seems really aggressive, good passer, and should go 7th. Like last year, we might be ok going 7th instead of one of the higher picks.
so is it ok to talk college drafts? the season is over, right, we just watch these games to have something to do while we eat our popcorn.
I agree about the popcorn statement and that we can start talking about the draft. Otherwise, would it hurt to look for a few positive things after each game? Rather than repeating how Detroit is soft, Detroit is awful, etc., look for some bright spots at this point in the season, or else why are you still watching?
How about noticing that Stuckey was the best player on the floor last night, and that Charlie and Maxiell were productive off the bench. Monroe started slowly but almost ended up with another double-double. I believe what we’re looking for, at this point in the season, is who is worth keeping next year and which lineups seem to click better than others.
stuckey, jerebko and monroe are starters. Everyone else belongs on the bench. We got a team with 3 starters and a dozen NBA 6th men.
I’ve praised stuckey & monroe enough. They are going to work and doing their jobs. They dont need praise for that.
As for lineups, Q has tried every lineup in the world, you can’t polish a turd. And you can’t defend in the paint without a quality big.
Here’s our best lineup:
pg: veteran point traded to give our team veteran leadership . . . someone like . . . Chaunchy Billups would be ideal but we can’t have him, so whatever the next best thing is.
sg: Stuckey
sf: jerebko
pf: monroe
pf: draft pick (jared sullinger is my #1 candidate).
there you go, we can’t a decent lineup until 2011-2012. Now you can mix and match and create lineup after lineup but that only gives you these interesting 2nd and 3rd teams, we should be able to field an entire second team that is half court slow’em down and an entirely different lineup that is a speed it up run and gun. So lineups? We have plenty of 2nd, 3rd and even 4th team lineups. We just dont have a 1st team lineup and wont until next year.
I have to admit the Rip Hamilton soap opera definitely makes these games easier to watch, cause you never know what is gonna happen. Adds some mystery to the games.
So, now what?
Rip is back, Prince & T-Mac are on ice…
This is tragic…
Not sure which was the play of the game. When Sammons stuck his knee out 18 inches and the foul was on Stuckey? Or when Gordon went up on a fast break and was spun 360 with no call? I vote for the latter.
the rip kuester’s pipes of peace don’t solve the style rip is playing with the system. We were good vs Utah cos of movement and ENERGY. With the young group we got energy. Monroe is getting less touches with Rip on board.
bottomline we were close of being better when rip almost got dealt with cleveland and NJ
