With new potential Pistons owner in the building the Pistons gave Tom Gores a great show. Detroit gave the best team in the NBA a run for their money Tuesday night, but just couldn’t pull out the victory. The final score 100-89 final score doesn’t reflect the battle on court in an impressive performance for the Pistons despite the loss.
Key Points:
- Rip Hamilton – OUT with a groin pull. We want Rip chants surfaced at the Palace again.
- Rodney Stuckey back on court after missing 5 games.
- Heartbreaking triples from the Spurs every time the Pistons got close. Spurs 55% from downtown.
- 7th double-double of the season for the real deal Greg Monroe. Greg with 14 points, 13 boards and 2 assists. Add one heck of a pass to Rodney Stuckey who couldn’t convert the layup in crunch time.
- Will Bynum was the spark plug in this one, matching his season high with 21 points. Will carried the team in the fourth quarter with an impressive performance down the stretch. Will added 6 board, an assist and a steal in 23 minutes. The highlights speak for themselves.

- Jason Maxiell sighting!
- This one was tied 13 times with 15 lead changes.

Will Bynum on the possibility of being the team that Cleveland beats: “We won’t be.”
Best wishes for McDyess. Spurs will win it all!
Not a shocking loss but the way they lost was a bit irritating. Monroe gives you 12 points 6 boards in the first half, so let’s jack up a bunch of jumpers in the second half, instead of rewarding CV for going hard and scoring in the paint let’s pull him and put in Tayshaun, who was struggling, and never mind Austin Daye had a mismatch most of the night on offense. Yeah that’s the ticket….I guess the missed layups and free throws kinda helped, oh yeah and just for a challenge let’s leave the guys who get paid to shoot threes wide open….and get ice for Dyess, he’s gonna need it for his championship run. Here’s to Antonio getting a ring before Lebron!
I have to say I was kinda hoping that the Pistons would get this one. They were in it until the 4th with all the missed layups. Monroe is a building block. He, Daye, Jerebko, and a better-used Stuckey (at the 2 and not the 1) plus another scoring big and a TRUE starting PG (though TMac is doing a hell of a job) would be a good team for the future. And since BG and CV31 – inconsistent though they are – aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, then I guess they’ll be part of the team too. Unless… Word is, LA is considering trading Andrew Bynum… do you think Joe D should get in on that action?
Are you kidding me cv was playing well? He was guarding matt bonner who has the best three point percentage in the league right now. Every shot matt took was wide open cv tried to play d, just didnt do it right. He switched on tony when it was not needed and tried to help when no help was needed. What was Q thinking seriously? He left cv in there too long and played the reserves pretty much half the game. as for bynum i dont think that trade will ever happen with the nuggetts and who does la want from us?
good to see our bynum out there but seriously lets get a coach that teaches ppl when thing go wrong run a play, instead of a 18 ft jump shot. and what was q thinking going zone with 3 three point shooters on the floor seriously out coach and out played. should of got avery he is doing good things in ny and they basically did nothing new from last year. they have favors but he barley played and i know you dont think the machine is killing it for them.
Rip N/A… yeah right!
Kuester is not doing the right things… he had one heck of a game the other night in Milwaukee and Kuester sitted him again. He would have been a great threat to the Spurs defense
ICE4DYESS
sitted him again? you mean sat and i believe rip was inactive becasue of a groin issue.
