The 18-32 Pistons are in Milwaukee to take on the 19-29 Bucks who will by trying for a season best third consecutive home victory Saturday night.
Besides the fact that Detroit snapped their skid Friday night with a victory over the Nets with another impressive performance from rookie Greg Monroe (20 points and 11 boards), the only thing that anyone is talking about it the deactivation of Rip Hamilton. The messy, just became a full scale disaster.
The official word was that this was an organizational decision.
Injury update:
- Jason Maxiell (sore back) is out.
- Rodney Stuckey (right shoulder contusion) doubtful.

Holy gazoly gorgonzoly. Richard Rip Hamilton actually checked in? 25 days after his first 0 minutes? A day after he was deactivated?

another game with no ball movement, all isolations, what do they call it over at detroit bad boys, isolayshauns? no assists, poor defense, and yet another victory over an absolutely terrible team. They barely defending so it looked like a shootaround out there for our team. Luckily for us the bucks can’t make buckets even if you don’t guard them.
both the bucks and this pistons team looks like they have checked out to me, except for rip. Even Monroe had a rough game, getting brutalized by the milwaukee bigs
remember that loss to charlotte last sunday I think it was? That’s the difference between playing a team that still thinks it can make the playoffs and a team that has checked out, like this milwaukee team.
yeah we all know it was a bad game but could you say something nice in a victory? We need every kind of win that we can get to give ourselves a chance. We are now 8 wins away from our last season’s record.
i dont mind losing as long as there is effort. and i like winning if we do it with effort. This lack of effort tho like nobody cares bothers me. if the players dont care why should I care? I remember the end of last year, how everyone was mad that the pistons kept trying to win “meaningless” games. I liked that, even if it ruined our lottery pick. This team will not try to win those meaningless games with the attitude they have.
hard to believe the season is over, and it’s barely time for the allstar break.
I understand your negativity, but I don’t agree with many statements. It’s very subjective to say the team put no effort in last night. We just won back-to-back games, which is good for any team no matter the opponents. We’re no longer playing .333 ball like last year and early this year. Look on the bright side.

I didn’t get to watch the game cause I was studying for exams. When I got my Pistons Update text and saw Rip had scored 15 points I had to look twice and then check NBA.com to make sure it wasn’t a typo. I’m soo happy 🙂 yayyyy

Well, we found a team worse than us.
I don’t care if we haven’t earned it or don’t deserve it, the fact is, we are only 3 games out of the playoffs. We will overtake Milwaukee shortly if they keep playing like they played tonight, and there is still enough time to make up the ground on Charlotte and Indy.
Tough little stretch coming up before the all-star game, but there cannot be any excuses. We need to pull out wins here. I would love nothing more than to be on an 8 game winning streak going into the break. I can dream…
It was such a happy thing to know that Rip played and played well. But you have to think how long this can go on. What’ll happen when Stuckey comes back? Does this mean that Austin Daye is going to be out of the rotation again? This could also be the Pistons showing off Rip to get someone to bite for a trade.
But, for the meantime, let’s all just be happy that Rip is back and the Pistons won.
