Tom Gores could be the Pistons owner as early as next week

Via The Detroit News:
Sources close to the sale said this week Gores, the billionaire financier from Beverly Hills, Calif., who grew up in Flint and attended Michigan State, remains the leading bidder for the team and for Palace Sports & Entertainment. Moreover, he is now presumed to be the bidder who will emerge as the owner.

    IMO the best possible option..
    Illitch is too spread out…
    I’ve wanted Gores since the start of the sale!
    I really hope they can get this deal done im sick of the excuses and losing personally…

    ok one Stern is not gunna let this team move out of Detroit.
    and two Gores is from the state, so why barring the end of the state of Michigan would he want to move the team elsewhere. Just to get some more money? It’s gunna take a lot more than that…
