The Pistons vs. The Timberwolves

Darko’s Revenge! UPDATE: When DARKO Stuffs you 7 times!

[flashvideo file=http://nba.cdn.turner.com/nba/big/games/timberwolves/2010/12/10/0021000334_det_min_play3.nba_nba_576x324.flv /]

The 7-16 Pistons are in Minnesota to take on DARKO Kevin Love and the Timberwolves. Detroit has yet to win a road game in 6 straight tries, so a win against the 5-17 Timberwolves may just help to get the Pistons going again.

The Pistons went 2-0 vs. the Timberwolves last season.
Darko Milicic (yes that Darko) ranks second among NBA league leaders in blocks per game with 2.7 for the T-Wolves.
Michael Beasley leads Minnesota’s in scoring with 22.0 ppg average this season.

Think we can get Bill Laimbeer to take the trip back on Roundball 1 2 3 and teach this team the Bad Boy mentality?

Didn’t see the game, but it really appears we’re going for a high lottery pick, huh?

If were tanking this early, I would consider it smart.

Darko is 25 and if he will do the same things, he will be aight comes 28, an average nba starting center.
How can you contribute, ben gordon, if you take only 4 shots?! And 2 of them are absolutely awful in terms of shot selection!
I’m glad for Monroe who got a chance to play, he will learn
I don’t beleive we’re tanking so early, we’re just awful that much.
I’m still waiting for Jerebko, he’s a hard worker on the court every time.
To be honest, i still love Pistons, because it’s Pistons, we had good times, we had bad times…but i just can’t watch this team sometimes, it makes me sick, honestly. Need4aNewTeam era, that’s what we have now, unfortunately.
Nat, someday we will chat like “yep, i’m cool we’ve blown up the Heat” i just want to beleive it will happen sooner than later

Aren’t we up to Roundball 3 now, Nat?

Seriously, not the worst performance of the year…until you remember we were versing the Timberwolves. Without Ben Wallace and Jonas Jerebko, I was impressed that we kept Kevin Love under 40 rebounds; Greg Monroe did a real nice job and I hope this performance earns him more minutes if not a starting job in place of the ineffective Maxiell.

On to Maxiell…seriously, how long have we persisted with this guy? He needs to go back to the bench. He has been given consistent minutes and knows that his job is to rebound the basketball. Yet, he takes more shots than Ben Gordon and can’t get rebounds effectively. Lets go back to what we know he can usually do well – provide energy off the bench.

Hamilton looked great. Fastbreaks were laughable. Villanueva has reverted to last season’s form. Gordon won’t shoot. McGrady is the NBA-leader in the “should-have-been-an-assist” category – he is an incredible passer. We had to rely on Chris Wilcox to get us back into the game with his best game as a Piston. Only to choke when we got close. Usual day at the office.

the Revenge against the Pistons tour:
Day 1: Darko blocks 7 Pistons shots! Wolves win.
Day 2: Amir Johnson scores 20 points! Raptors win.
