The 5-9 Detroit Pistons are on the second game of a back to back in Memphis to take on the 5-9 Grizzlies. This pre Thanksgiving Day get together won’t be easy for the Pistons. Memphis has quality big men in Zack Randolph and Marc Gasol. Add Rudy Gay, who hit a fade away jumper over LeBron James to upset the Heat, and they will give Detroit problems.
The Good: The Grizzlies are 1-8 at home against Detroit since the franchise moved from Vancouver.
Look for Jason Maxiell to start again at the PF position.

Jonas Jerebko we need you
That just left a bad taste in my mouth just before Thanksgiving…at true Turkey.
Happy Holiday all…
Has anybody noticed Ben Wallace play lately. That’s my boy but i have to call it as i see it. After two minuets in the game, when the camera shoots in on him, he looks like he’s huffing and puffing out there..and it’s like 10 minuets left in the game. He reminds me of Allen Iverson at the end of his career. He used pure athleticism to get points..he really didn’t have any skills..and that is how Ben is playing. His athleticism is gone and now and players do to him what he used to do to others. He can’t score, he can’t hold anyone anymore and he can’t tower to get rebounds anymore or block shots. Age catches up to everyone, and it doesn’t matter how many weights you lift…hahaha..sorry Ben..i still luv ya buddy.
On a lighter note, Rasheed should be an assistant coach so he can teach Greg Monroe some moves Offensively and Defensively. I think that would be great for Greg’s development.
Here’s an upgrade:
previously, the Pistons had the curse of playing on Sundays and losing. now, we have the curse of the third quarters!!!
Unless Monroe learns to move quicker, I’m guessing he’d be a bust.
Well another poor game. First have was ok, but second terrible. 14 turnovers is better then 15 but still too much to compete in the game. Rip out ones again for technical fouls, CV BG TP all be off. Well Need to do some trades or something else for get some effect.
In other news:
Darko Milicic scores 22 points on 10/17 shooting, grabbed 8 rebounds, dished out 4 assists, and swatted 5 shots, in 33 minutes, before fouling out in a loss against San Antonio.
In 16 games this season, he has averaged 9 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 blocks in 26 minutes of play.
You should have kept him Detroit! Hahahahaha!
How many poor starts (as well as 2nd half) before changing starting lineup?
TMac and BG should be starting, CV can be a good experiment.
@True Pacer, sorry which team is Darko currently playing, and how is his team doing?
It’s Minny, so what if they’re 4-13.. they’re playing in the West…
against superior competition.
Tycoon, you can’t change the starting lineup. It’s the only way to keep the old guard happy.
They did this with the Iverson experiment, and it got the 2004 champs whining, and that’s when then sabotaged the new guard. Guys wouldn’t pass to Iverson or switch off on defense.
Same thing will happen to Gordon if you bench Rip. He’ll get ostracized, Prince won’t pass him the ball, and his numbers will drop until Hamilton gets the start. It’s kinda like a high school clique mentality ruining the True Blue. If you bench one (Rip), you gotta bench the other 2 (Big Ben and Tay), and start Stuckey, Gordon, Daye, CV31, and maybe Monroe. Let the 2004 champs earn a starting spot. The defense would struggle, and I mean really struggle. But these guys would play their hearts out like swedes.
Plus, if Rip gets benched, I really don’t want to hear him whining again; his arguments would not have any stats to back up his flapping. I don’t think Rip or Tay know how to win without Chauncey and Sheed
Wow, my post sounds a little too negative for Thanksgiving. Sorry.
Did you hear that T White will be back next month? Happy Tofurky Day
