The Pistons vs. The Hawks

The 0-4 Pistons are in Atlanta to take on the 4-0 Hawks Wednesday night. The annual….Josh Smith to the Pistons talk is back just in time for the game.  The Hawk have looked great, while the Pistons are off to their worst start in 11 years.

Injury Update:

Will Bynum – Out
Rip Hamilton – Doubtful
Chris Wilcox – Doubtful
Tracy McGrady- questionable (but we may just put that by his name all season)

I think we can do this. Detroit always seems to do well against the Hawks–even last season and this pre-season. Both teams are coming off a game last night, and it’s not like we expended much energy against the C’s last night 😉

Ben Gordon is lookin good this year!
    Oh Hey TMAC!
Monroe getting great minutes out there, I’m liking what I’m seeing out there from him..Though I do wish they’d go to him every once in a while on Offense…

The first half shows why Rip is expendable. BG shows that he can take over the starting SG spot. As for the rest of the line up, can Daye be replaced by CV or Monroe? He is really out of position at PF. I am not saying he cannot play the four, but with his size, he should be playing the four on certain (mis)match ups, but not on an every-game basis.

At the half pistons up by four: 48-44. GO Pistons, we can win this!!!

Where the hell is Stuckey? Enough with these phantom injuries! Either he or Bynum needs to get his ass out there.

Seems like Kuester now has Prince and Stuckey offside. I will be interested to see the explanation as to why Stuckey has played less minutes than DaJuan Summers.

Another game that shows that this Pistons team is good enough to hang with some of the best teams in the east, but also another classic meltdown in the last 5 minutes. I don’t know what happens to the players, but they just cannot make a basket in the last few minutes.

No excuses from here on in. We must win our next two games, they are very winnable, and if we can’t win either, then drastic changes are needed.

Stuckey Got pulled by Q and didn’t return. because he was acting up and pissed of Q bad decision from Q i think though i hate to say fire the coach but joe d needs to go get us a legit coach like Avery Johnson who we could have had or Byron Scott or something lol

q pulled stuckey i saw that but it was like Q was having a meltdown not stuckey

I think all these losses have gotten to q, he’s lost it.

t-mac looked ok. Charlie V is a pretty awesome matador. Ole! Ole! He’s some kind of combination of black hole and matador. Monroe got some decent minutes. Looked like a rookie. Daye got brutalized at the 4. Ben Gordon looked more comfortable today, shooting 9 for 21 for 43%. Charlie V was 6 for 21 for 29%.

btw. WUR NUMBER WON WUR NUMBER ONE.

only team in the NBA league at 0-5. WUR NUMBER ONE! 🙂

steve i been defending joe dumars for the past five years the whole time you were bagging him. ok, fine you were right.

How the hell did Q managed to pull out Stuckey when the team didnt have any pointguard other than him? Is Q trying to sell the game or something? If you look at the lineup, we couldn’t even afford to rest Stuckey.

I really wish we had gotten DeMarcus Cousins.

Q needed to get over his superiority complex and put in a point guard in the 4th. Since Bynum is out with a phantom injury, that guy needed to be Stuckey. We can’t have T-Mac and Prince bringing it up all game.

It’s plenty odd that Tay and Rodney, who seem to be the least temperamental people, are having these spats with Q. I’ve been a Joe supporter for years, but really! He better fix this now. Either hold a team meeting and let them all have it or get rid of Q ( it’s easier to get rid of one coach than multiple players) or something! But his regular method of changing things quietly in the off season isn’t going to fly this year. He needs to throw his weight around ASAP.

I was at the game and it was looking good but, I believe it just comes down to the players not having belief in Q’s system or coaching at the end of games. For some reason or another you could see that they were playing well until Q called in some plays and Stuckey didnt want to run them and pretty much that’s how must of the team looked. It going to be a very very very long season. Wow, I didnt know it was going to come down to this after winning the Ship!
