The Pistons vs. The Nets

by | Oct 27, 2010 | 6 comments

The Detroit Pistons kick off the 2010-2011 season in New Jersey tonight.  The ESPN Power Rankings might not think much of Detroit,  but the players might have something to say about about that.  Detroit would like to start off this season with a win, but Brook Lopez and co. aren’t the 12-70 team from last season.  The Nets have only 4 returning players from last season.

I cannot believe that finish. The game should have been over after that Rip 3 with a minute and a half to go. But no, we let them have 2 threes and a 3 point play while the best we can manage is a turnover, and a ridiculously pressured shot.

We didn’t deserve to lose that one until that effort in the last 2 minutes. Then, we just didn’t want to win.

Disappointing loss, but I gotta disagree with d man. If the Pistons continue to go deep into the bench and continue to play unselfish they won’t lose many games having a 10 point lead in the closing minutes. Daye played a little tight and missed some open looks that he will be making. The only real problem I’m seeing is the lack of interior defense. They gotta get tougher in the middle some how some way. Other than that I saw way more positives than negatives in a losing effort. A loss is a loss though.

Man, with the beginning schedule the Pistons have, I wouldn’t be surprised if they start off 0-5 now, thats rough

this nets team is twice as good as last year which means this nets team will win 24 games this year instead of 12.

Tonight . . . Charlie Villanueava was our best player.

in other words this performance by the pistons was turrible

Love the new layout for N4S!

Tough opening night for the Pistons though. Total last 2 minutes collapse.
