Wednesday’s Pistons-Heat game will have a unique all-access component throughout the day, a first of sorts for a local broadcast…. Elements from the morning shootaround will be shown live on Foxsportsdetroit.com between 10-11 a.m. In addition, the 7:30 pm telecast will also feature unique broadcast access during the team’s pregame and halftime meetings, “wired” access to Pistons back-up guard Chucky Atkins, as well as a player interview during George Blaha and Greg Kelser’s telecast opening.
This is a really, really cool idea…. I just wish they had thought it up a few years ago when I actually liked the team. The NBA better watch out because they are making staying home and watching games on TV much more enjoyable then spending a shload of money to go live….. fighting traffic and crowds, paying for parking, paying for food and drinks, sitting through the stupid promotions during every timeout, and getting out of the parking lot afterwords is a nightmare. They are gonna have to think of something good to get 20,000 people a night at the Palace over the next few years, especially in this economy.
Never thought we would make this list. http://www.yahoo.com/_ylt=Ai5rdmYExJWfZ__gcomkz.mbvZx4;_ylu=X3oDMTN0NjBvaTRtBGEDMTAwMzI5IHNwb3J0cyBoaWdoZXN0IHBhaWQgdGVhbXMgdARjY29kZQNnbXAEY3BvcwMyMARnA2lkLTIzNjQ5BGludGwDdXMEcGtndgMxMARwb3MDMwRzZWMDdGQtZmVhdARzbGsDbW9yZQRzbHBvcwNGBHRlc3QDODky/SIG=136h2p3nu/**http%3A//sports.yahoo.com/blogs/post/The-10-highest-paid-sports-teams-in-the-world%3Furn=top,230688
