The debut of Allen Iverson in a Pistons uniform is on it’s way. AI will suite up tonight for the first time against the 1-2 New Jersey Nets. Not much more needs to be said other than the fact that all eyes will be on AI to see just how he gels with his new team.

You know the routine, tip is at 7:30 and will be broadcast locally on FSN HD and YESHD (for those of you in the NY, NJ area). If you can’t catch it on the tube you can listen live on 1130 AM WDFN The Fan or follow the game on NBA.com.

    Two Words:

    boxing out

It killed us that Boone always got those offensive rebounds.

That’s one thing that I hate and that gets on my nerves, because it’s the littel things.

    Where was ‘Sheed?

There wasn’t a good “flow” on the offensive end (neither defensive), Iverson sometimes didn’t really know what to do with the ball, and I think he didn’t want to shoot the ball 20 times the first game.

I think they will get more together game for game. On the chemistry side and also on the “knowing what a player likes” side.

Yeah, chemistry wise, today was like a pickup game. It’ll be better in time. Didn’t help that Harris went off.

This was probably the worst officiating I’ve seen in a long time.

Harris barely gets touched and he gets two free throws.
Sheed and Iverson get mugged and the refs don’t care.

Nets win with an assist from the men with the whistles.

Yeah, I was gonna leave the refs alone, but there were blown trips all over the place.

Especially the one with Harris reaching in on Iverson on a critical possession late in the game where he was called for an over and back violation.

But I agree that Iverson needs time to mesh.

This is the new team? Horrible. I don’t even recognize this team anymore and i wasn’t impressed in the least. New coach’s rotations are a joke and the team looked very bad tonight.
