A Pistons Trade To Remember – Bill Laimbeer for Phil Hubbard and Paul Mokeski

by | Jul 21, 2008 | 3 comments

With virtually nothing going on trade wise for Detroit right now it’s the perfect time to look back (video) to an important deal the Pistons GM at the time, Jack McCloskey pulled off when he picked up Bill Laimbeer for Phil Hubbard and Paul Mokeski. Bill, a four-time All-Star, was a integral part of the Pistons teams that won two championships.

Not a bad pickup by Trader Jack.

And for the record, this snippet of Mr. Laimbeer bowing and taunting the visiting crowd is a favorite of mine. We loved him, and everyone else despised him.
