  • Pistons fall to the Mavs in Summer league play 79-73. Will Bynum, who’s looking to land a spot on the roster, led the way with 20. Walter Sharpe is shining too, he put up 16.
  • Amir Johnson interview (video). Via Pistons.com
  • Rob Parker says…Dumars is waiting for the right deal.
  • Team Need4Sheed member King of Dark wants to welcome T-Mac to town before he even gets here.
  • The Pistons may be ready to give Walter Sharpe a chance to make an impact in the upcoming season.
  • I’m shocked that the poll about Tayshaun stating that the team should stay the same next season is so close. You can still vote, but right now “standing pat” is winning by a whopping 2%. And I thought it would be a landslide in the other direction.

    on 97.1 the ticket

pistons have a chance to get biedrins with mid level exception since they will be over the cap with signing ronnie turiof or however u spell his name,

and the hawks have strong interest in tayshaun and possibly would be interested in sign n trade for josh smith.

    chauncey
    rip
    smith
    sheed
    biedrins

    maxiell
    stuckey
    afflalo

i would fucking love a tay for smith trade…. i respect and appreciate what tay has done for us but smith is one of my favorite players in the league no matter what team he is on… as for biedrins just walking? i would be happy to pick him up for the full midlevel and not even lose chauncey??? i sure hope the lakers don’t match and turiaf goes to the warriors because then that could actually happen… i dunno steve if this actually happens i’m gonna say we would be in strong contention for the ship

oh easily, gives the team a new hunger and smith is not inconsistant like gayshaun who choses to show up when he wants too, like i always said tayshaun used to be good but not anymore. and biedrins will give the team what they been lacking since ben wallace left, somone to grab bounds and block shots on a daily..

id love it but we all know dumars is soft so im not even excited anymore.

Unfortunately, you guys would all flip out when we didn’t win it all in 2009, wanting to blow up the team so it wouldn’t even have a shot in 2010.

    Well put, Eric.
I also don’t think that it would make Joe D soft if this move didn’t happen. Frankly, as he put it, he can only dance if he has someone to dance with, so let’s just see what happens. I’m trying to be numb about it, myself. It would be nice to have Josh Smith, as much as I’d hate to see TAYshaun leave, but I’m not going to get happy or sad about anything until it happens. And I’m not going to criticize Joe D if it doesn’t.

i would probably give them two years before i wanted a move… two years without making it to the finals is a long time… three years is an especially long time… i feel like making the finals is a winning season… so no eric and richie i wouldn’t want the team shaken up until they produce two losing seasons in a row

Oh, I see. I thought a losing season was when you lost more games than you won. My bad.
