Sheed Aint Scared Of You

by | Apr 15, 2008 | 13 comments

Rasheed didn’t like the inconsistencies in calls and lets referee Jim Clark know about it.

Mr. Clark, do you really think anyone has any influence or Rasheed except maybe his mother?

I rewatched that little exchange about 5 times last night. I like Greg Kelser’s ‘Roscoe’ reference, too. Thanks for posting that one!

That was a fun game to watch. Al Jefferson is a beast. Nice game by Jarvis, Rip and Chauncey. Maxiell’s dunk at the end was nasty. If Jarvis can keep playing like this in the playoffs (not 20 a night, just hit some 3’s off the bench with consistency) it might make me not feel so bad that Walter isn’t getting any run these last games. Defense wins ‘ships and Jarvis doesn’t have a lot. I feel better about the bench than I did 2 months ago. Flip has done a good job working them in.

Random thought #1: McDyess reminds me of an famous person or actor, but for the life of me I can’t figure out who. Anyone have any opinions on that?

Random thought #2: I was watching the replay of the Cav/76ers controversy the other day. It was hosted on a Cavs site so the play by play was Fred McLoed and whatever Cavs-homer is with him. It was a little depressing to hear Fred’s voice complain about calls for the…gulp…Cavs. Trust me, Blaha and Kelser are miles ahead of him, but he was with the Pistons for a while so I grew accustomed to him. (I know he has been gone for a long time, but I guess I had forgotten about it).

I can’t wait for the playoffs to start.

    Awesome

In response to twalch’s random thought #1: I agree in some respect. He has that resemblance, but I just can’t pinpoint who it is. I actually was on imdb.com after reading your post just searching around.

Kind of driving me nuts now.

TWaltch…The Dyess thing is going to bother me.

As for McCloud, I never liked him. In fact I almost couldn’t stand watching the FSN broadcasts when he was with the Pistons. Not only is he a homer, he doesn’t know much about basketball. No better place for him than in Cleveland with the rest of the dregs of society. Best thing that happened to Detroit basketball was his departure.

The Fact that Blaha took over his duties is a Godsend.

I think he looks like Brian McKnight…but that’s just me! Look him up if you don’t know him!

Man that was so funny. She is crazy. That picture of him laughing is hilarious. Oh yeah TWaltch, McDyess looks like Brian McKnight. I have always thought that and I find it funny that you said he looks like someone famous. He looks like Brian McKnight to me. U know who that is? 🙂

I think detroitgirl4ever and lanea21 have just solved my problem (well, one of my problems… 🙂 ). McDiggity does look like Brian McKnight.

    Thanks for the help.

By the way, I wasn’t really implying I missed Fred M., his voice just reminded me of the past. He is a homer, I totally agree with that.

TWaltch I know you weren’t…I’m a homer but, nobody is as bad as McCloud….. Well maybe Boston’s Tommy Heinsohn

And yes, McNight. I should have known that you guys have mentioned it in the comments before.

You have to love Sheed!!! As long as he brings his hard hat and Chauncey is agressive and the Pistons as a whole don’t settle for unecessary jumpers in close games, I have great confindence that they will make the finals this year, I rather have them play Boston in the ECF, than Cleavland I feel the Pistons match up better with the Celtics. Lebron is a hassle for anyone facing him.
