Pistons Haven’t Won In Utah since……

The Detroit Pistons vs. The Jazz
  • Facebook
  • Twitter

….forever, well at least that’s what it seems like. Detroit will be batteling The Utah Jazz (36-21) in their third game of their last Wester trip of the season. Detroit has not won a game in Utah since November 6th, 2002, and are just 4-23 there since 1980. To top things off, Utah is currently on a 14 game home winning streak.

Tip off is at 9:00 PM and will be broadcast on myTV20 Detroit. If you can’t catch it on TV you can always tune in to 1130 AM WDFN The Fan or stream it live through your computer at NBA.com.

I’m trying to think of something that will break us free of this Utah jinx so……

GO JAZZ!
And Go Karl Malone, even though he loves Beanie Babies.

Dude, have I been the only one to notice how crappy the pistons telecasts have been? (especially in HD??) The score is never on time and sometime minutes late. I’ve never seen such a lack for a long time. Whoever is in charge of posting the score for the pistons games needs to be fired immediately. Tonight I’ve called FSN detroit, MyTv20 Detroit and the Palace, but no one is willing to take the blame, or tell me who is responsible for the pistons scoreboard or telecast. The last Pistons HD telecast froze for a long time in an important part of the game, and the score is always slow to follow. Am I the only one who notices this????

Evan…It happened to me the other day in HD it was weird like only half of the screen froze but today I have been ok. You know when that happened I switched over to the broadcast the regular way and it was fine.

Do you have comcast because that’s where I thought the problem was coming from. I feel you…

  7. evan

yeah I have comcast too. That must have been the problem. I found myself watching only the basket to see if any pistons balls went in. but other than that I’ve noticed for a long time the score has been way behind. I find myself yelling at the TV, “Are you going to give us the points?!?!”

does anyone else wonder why tayshaun basketballs don;t got in when he goes to the rim? i mean some do but almost all his missed tonight were shots taht did not fall when he drove to the basket. I am not sure why this is because they look good but then they bounce back out.

I am getting absolutely sick of people blaming flip saunders, could any of you coach a NBA team?? Didn’t think so. Even the pros say flip is the best coach in the league. It’s easy to use flip as a scapegoat. It the PLAYERS who are controlling the game, not the coach.

ok now I am worried no way we will win this one… one thing I think happened here was they got comfortable with such a large lead adn didn’t think the jazz were going to come fighting but they did… I think flip left the young guys in so long due to the lead… well I guess we will have to beat them next yr..
as for bring rasheed to the team if joe did not make that move the pistons would not have won a ship as well rasheed is the reason we started in the game at the end drawing the fouls he is also the reason we won a lot of our games this season.. very tough loss tonight..

No Amir, did Flip take crazy pills this morning? Do you think he might have been able to bother Brewer and (Ronnie) Milsap a little? Oh, by the way, you might want to deny Memo the ball. 17 assists…Deron schooled Chauncey tonight. Too much dribbling, too much one-on-one B.S. (DTR – 17 assists, Utah – 29 assists). The offensive fouls were horsesh!t home calls, but the Pistons didn’t bring it once Brewer fired up the crowd. Whoever was playing defense on Brewer and Milsap need to remove their head from their bootays. I love the Pistons, I really do, but this kind of effort frustrates the crap out of me.

this wasa fun game to watch… It kinda of reminded me of the old pistons however where they couldn’t hang on to the big lead going into the forth and then everything was put on the line either they won or they lost and well thisone they lost.. I am not all that upset able the loss, I do not think the pistons are meant to win against the jazz, i am just happy that they are not the best team in the west so we probably wont see they in the finals

Millsap reminded me a bit of the 2nd Boston game when Big Baby Davis comes off the bench and fires at will.

It almost seems sometimes like the pistons are prepared to deal with some of the guys in the other team, but if someone else gets going they are overstretched.
