I’m giving away a Need4Sheed.com T-Shirt (design of choice) to the winners of each league. If you want test your fantasy skills, have a bit of fun, and maybe even win something, come and join us.

I will admit that I think I came in last or close to last in every league I played in last season 🙁 Good luck and have fun!

Just a quick note, I was reading earlier the GM Surveys about the rookies, and it was nice to see that Rodney Stuckey was mentioned in every category! (Dealing with rookies not international players) I thought that was a cool little note that everyone can look at. Here if anyone is interested in looking at what else the GMs had to say, http://www.nba.com/preview2007/gmsurvey_rookies.html

    Hey Nick,
I don’t know how your signing in but all I ask is that you use the same USER name in the Forums as in the basketball league. It just helps me keep the winners straight.

If you have any more problems post them in the information thread of the league and Big_Ben(the commish) should be able to help.

Cool, I’m going to sign up. Although I’m lost when it comes to fantasy leagues.

A side note. I was looking through the t-shirts and I noticed the Detroit ones. It’s always the people who’ve never actually lived IN the city of Detroit that want to wear a shirt proclaiming their D-Town pride. As someone who lived in one the MANY of the less than desirable parts of Detroit I always get a kick out of people from Oakland county and such wearing clothing that simply says Detroit. I’d be willing to bet most of them don’t know the real Detroit, if they did they might be wearing a shirt that said Birmingham or where ever.

When I see someone wearing a shirt or hat or whatever with the word “Detroit” on it I don’t think of them as someone who is actually from Detroit, but rather a fan of the sports teams in the Motor City. It’s kind of like people wearing Michigan State or Michigan apparel. It’s not like they necessarily go to either university, they’re just fans of the teams. Besides, I think it’d be kind of funny for residents of Detroit or any city to wear clothing with their hometown’s name on it just because they live there. I know I don’t go around wearing things that say “Ithaca” on them. lol Anyway, that’s just my opinion…

I don’t understand one damn thing about fantasy leagues so I’m gonna stear clear of that but to all who have joined or are joining: Have a ball and good luck to all!

Last preseason game tonight, guys. I read that Amir and Nazr are probably going to see some minutes so that should be exciting. Can’t wait for next Thursday!

I live in Detroit and I always wear things with “DETROIT” or “D” on them. When I where them I’m represting both where I’m from and the sports of Detroit. No offense but nobody would wear “Ithaca” simply because it’s not known. If you ask anybody if they’ve heard of Detroit, (in OR out of state) most likely their answer would be ‘yes.’ Clearly I live in Michigan, and I don’t even know where Ithaca is.

Remember last season you were doing this contest where people who go to away games have a story to tell with pictures provided and we were suppose to vote on the best one and that person would win a T-shirt? Well whatever happened to that?

Im going to put up a poll at the start of THIS season of all the stores and I am going to let everyone vote. I didn’t forget I just wanted wait until everyone is back in the Pistons swing of things to get a fair vote.

Look for it Early November and VOTE for your favorite. I already have a fav 🙂

You don’t know where Ithaca is? What the hell is wrong with you? lol Just playing. We’re about a half hour south of Mt. Pleasant.

I wouldn’t say “nobody would wear Ithaca” because people in and around Ithaca do. We may not be as widely known as the Detroit City but people can be proud to live in a small town too.

The point I was really trying to make is that I don’t think that every person who wears Detroit clothing is necessarily from Detroit and I don’t think you should have to be a resident of Detroit to wear Detroit clothing. That’s all.

Stuckey broke his hand… SHIT!! On the bright side though Amir finally got some minutes and I thought he looked great. Hope Stuckey is alright — doesn’t look good. What a pisser of a pre-season. First Amir, then Rip, now Rodney. Let’s just hope we are getting the injuries out of the way early and the regular season will be uneventful.

    GO PISTONS!!
