  • Chris Webber said Monday that he will not be accepting a lucrative offer to finish his career in Greece and revealed that the Detroit Pistons are the only team he can see himself playing for this season. Webber also told ESPN.com in a phone interview that he’s still “weighing all my options,” which include the possibility of retirement at age 34 if he doesn’t return to the Pistons.
  • It’s official McDyess is starting, Joe D gave Antonio no choice in the matter.
  • “He’s going to be good,” Billups said of Stuckey. “He’s going to be really good. I think he’s going to win us some games this year. He’s a basketball player. He knows how to score. Really strong. Finishes really well, something we really needed. Attacks the basket and challenges people. Arron as well. He’s impressive, real aggressive, competes really hard. I’m impressed.”
  • Matt at Detroit Bad Boys had a nice conversation on Media Day with Rodney Stuckey about the pressures of wearing #3.
  • Open Practice is this Thursday, if anyone is planning on going and wants to share photos or videos with us email me. need4sheed@gmail.com
  • Oh Isiah……..is guilty.
  • Ben Wallace can go back to the Fro, he’s got headband clearance.
  • “They’ve got a problem,” Wallace said. “But it’s their problem. That’s something they’ve got to figure out. That’s not up to me. That’s up to” NBA commissioner David Stern. “Nobody’s talked to me about it, but quite honestly, I wouldn’t want to hear (anything) they got to say, anyway.” Rasheed on the NBA referee gambling situation.
  • Boy how a change of scenery changes a person. The Oregonian remembers a Media Day when Sheed was in Portland…. “Rasheed Wallace answered six consecutive questions with one-word answers, then a few minutes later, donned a giant, fuzzy wig to tape a promotional spot for “Disco Night.” Oh how things change when in the “D.”
  • “I’m ready for people to know who I am,” he said. “I just want to get on the floor. I’m tired of sitting behind the bench in a suit.” Amir Johnson Now that’s the kind of attitude I like to see from my Pistons.

Great post! I’m happy to hear that about Chris Webber, and I’m excited to see Antonio starting, even if he’s not that big on the idea- I think he’ll do well!

yeah i told you my boy wasn’t going anywhere, and i do think joe will pick up webber, the man has a heart.

i like to hear the aggressiveness and hunger from amir he is definetely ready for this, he played a few games with the pistons had some more practice in the d league and got to play in china, and the practices in las vegas, so i think he is mos def ready.

I just can’t wait to see the youngin’s on the floor, it is going to be so weird though. but it is a good look for the pistons, and they said the dynasty was over…fooled yall suckas…it’s just beginning.

and congrats to mcdiggity. ol boy moving up in the league with a new position. i am excited for him and he is going to be a big help early in the game because he had that intensity in his eyes and heart. he is a true player and you know this is going to boost his ability to get to and win the finals because he is going to see things in a differnt aspect as one of the core.

man i am amped let’s get this season started already

rooting for the best team in the league….DEEEtroit BASSSketball!!
