That article or blog or whatever on this potentially being ‘Sheed’s last season made me shudder. Being that I’ve been an NBA watcher for a short while, I’ve only known ‘Sheed as a Piston. The idea of him not playing in the Detroit City is just…stupid.

I don’t think I realized how poorly ‘Sheed played (statistically speaking) during last season but it’s interesting when you see that Ben also played subpar as a Bull. That just goes to show you that a wall of Wallaces is better than 1.

I’m a little upset about the TV schedule for Pistons games. The first and third games of the preseason isn’t going to be broadcasted at all and I don’t get TV20 and no preseason game is nationally televised so I’m not going to get to miss the first 3 games of the preseason! I’m pissed.

wait, so is ANY Pistons game gonna be nationally televised? Because I live in the heart of Texas, and we definitely don’t get TV20 down here. So I hope they at least put a few games on ESPN or something. And if this is gonna be Sheed’s last season as a Piston, then we better win that damn championship! Then Sheed should move to the Pistons front office, be a scout or something, because the idea of seeing Sheed in a non-Pistons uniform is just…horrible. Seeing any Piston in colors other than red, white, and blue is super ridiculous.

wow I got tears in my eyes hearing that it could be sheeds last yr. I wanted to see him retire a piston and retire his number as with the other core four. If we win a ship this year (when we win) I think they will keep sheed ( I hope)

looks like our girls could be the team to win a ship back to back as our bad boys did.

jessi, it seems like the Shock might be able to do so, I’m rooting for the Shock all the way!!!!

However, another ‘ship by the Shock might just add more fuel to a “fire” (no pun intended) that some of us at these forums have spearheaded in a way: That Big Bill Laimbeer should be the coach of the Pistons. Think about this: Big Bill has brought that Bad Boys mystique to the Shock, and in his tenure they have won TWO WNBA championships and on the verge of a third. Nothing against Flip Saunders, but if Big Bill succeeds this season (as we all hope), don’t be surprised if the idea of a Bad Boys reunion at the front office (as in, Joe D as GM, Big Bill as head coach and Mahorn as assistant coach) begins to gain more and more supporters. The way I see it, the only way Flip could soothe the beasts is by bringing a ‘ship back to the D and make it, we hope, Seven Championship Drive!!!

WAY TO GO SHOCK!! They looked like they were having a blast there at the end of that game too. It seems like all the teams from the D have that ‘family’ feeling. A real team working together to get the job done.

As for Rasheed leaving after this season… =[ I hope not. That would break my heart. I can’t bear to see these guys split up. It about killed me when Ben left. I had to let my pain turn to anger and hate just so I could deal with it. On the bright side at least Chauncey, Tay, and Rip have some longer contracts so that’s somewhat of a silver-lining. Let’s not get too carried away with this right now though… rumors can easily drive all of us fans crazy. All the bullshit going around at the end of last season made me want to go into hiding for the summer, but it’s all working out beautifully… we just need a damn center!!!

    GO PISTONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would hate to see Sheed leave, he is imo the face of our franchise. I would miss him so much. In fact, I’d rather listen to Bill Walton than see Sheed in another uniform. I think this is what happens to your brain if you listen to too much Bill Walton http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj3iNxZ8Dww
Btw, I would love to see a Bad Boys reunion, imagine the kind of players Mahorn and Lamb could turn Maxiell and Amir into… BEAST!!!
