Ok Pistons fans it’s time for me to get ready to head off to The Palace for game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals. As was going trough my pre-game routine I realized that my lucky shirt is now 2 and 0. A good sign if you ask me, remember I ditched my Sheed Jersey when we lost at home to The Bulls.

I am expecting a huge game from Mr. Wallace tonight and hoping that Chauncey can take care of the ball. Don’t worry, I plan on being extra loud and obnoxious tonight, the Pistons can use any kind of boost they can get. So for everyone else going to the game let’s turn it up and show the word that Detroit is on a mission.

As always I leave the comments to you. And If you didn’t know, The Need4Sheed forum offers a live chat feature, so if you like you can talk Pistons with fellow Pistons fans like yourself, during the game.

I have a need….. a Need 4 Sheed.
Go Pistons!

I like what Webb’s doing right now although I think he should have went up on that play right before the bucket that led to the Cavs timeout instead of trying to make a difficult pass to an unopen teammate. Take it up and get fouled, C-Webb! Oh, and make some free throws! lol

Why don’t they keep with their man and make LeBron take all the shots?!?

It’s the last 5 minutes and the refs are taking over. Sheed clearly fouled Lebron on his “block” — he didn’t even get any ball at all — and then, seconds later, Hamilton just falls over and gets a call. Finally, Sasha is called for an absolutely terrible offensive foul.

And say what you want about Andy, but Hamilton and Billups have each had an egregious flop in the second half.

  27. Chemo

Make that two egregious flops for Rip, earning a bogus foul on Gibson.

You’re seeing the luxury of having a superstar…….everytime Lebron drives the lane the whistle blows. You’re just not allowed to play good hard defense anymore. Defense is tailored around the league’s superstars.

1:25 left. Let’s show the world that a superteam can beat a superstar.

NBA is all about marketing, and they are going to allow someone who lets their sponsors rule their soul go to the Finals. Mass Murders mean nothing to the NBA and Nike as long as their gears get sold. I’m glad I stopped buying Nike shit since MJ retired.

  43. Nate

Wow…yes this was a hard loss, but don’t degrade our guys. We needed a Ben to simply put it. A guy that would challenge him in the paint. We didn’t have that.

Though I’m SICK to death of hearing about Lebron, his play was simply amazing. He made the last 29/30 points for the Cavs and single handedly beat us while his teammates stood on the perimeter picking their noses.

Let’s get this game back in Cleveland Saturday. We did it last year, we can do it again.

Do Cavs fans get some kind of pleasure by coming into a DETROIT blog and talking crap? Does it help you convince yourselves that your win was more deserved than it really was? Because trust me, it wasn’t. Both teams worked their butts off, the Pistons worked for their shots and didn’t get the calls that they deserved. Lebron got away with so much because he is Lebron, now that is unfair and what I like to call an unfair advantage. You only won because David Stern can make more money off Lebron, Nike and Sprite if they make it to NBA Finals, not because your *team* is better.

we should not talk shit about lebron and the cavs because we already know the truth. detroit is the better team. pistons wanted the series to end in detroit so we can get the trophy in the “D

No, we don’t “idolize” our ‘Sheed. We admire him. There’s a difference. We know his shit doesn’t stink any less than anyone elses. How’s ‘Bron’s fecal matter smell?

    It semlls like victory.

Too many posts to read right now. Depressing loss for us Pistons fans. Some questionable stuff, but you have to give it up for Lebron.

Pistons with their backs against the wall again. What will they do this time? Cavs did it last year, and we overcame. They are a better team this year. Can we do it again? Let’s hope.

Looks like some moron posts that Nat will have to remove. They come out of the woodwork at times like this.

I’m a little confused by the posts panning the officiating in this game. I thought the Pistons got most of the close calls in this one, and Lebron got hacked on a couple of his takes (including the last one) where he didn’t get a call at all. Can you even name a debatable call that went the Cavs’ way? Because I listed three above that went the Pistons’ way, all in a span of about 30 seconds. In addition to those, Rasheed got a very debatable call on Andy near the end where the whistle blew as he caught the ball and he was given a shooting foul. And Webber got that call on Z where it appeared that nothing happened at all. And Andy, wow — he got absolutely clobbered by Sheed and Chauncey on one play, and nothing happened.

Also, Rip and Chauncey had three blatant flops in this game. I always thought that, if you could say one nice thing about this Pistons (and I have trouble doing that — haha), at least they weren’t floppers. So that was disappointing.

Finally, McDyess should be fine for the next game. I can’t imagine him getting suspended. But to the guy that wanted Lebron thrown out — for what? He didn’t even touch anyone. The Pistons are lucky a technical wasn’t given to the guy that threw a shoulder into Lebron as he ran into the play.

Can’t argue that, it definitely was LeBron’s and any player on the Cavs best performance of all time, but NBA? wouldn’t go that far…

lebron james. what a joke. overpaid egotistical ass who doesnt give a rats ass about anyone except himself and his stats and his points and his salary and his career and his commercials and everything is him. one game he decides to pass the ball and it doesnt work and now he could care less about his teammates. f it. detroit is the real T-E-A-M in this and a blind person could see that.

and those fouls called? RIDICULOUS. sometimes i wonder why i waste my team watching when i know that bull shit is fake as hell.

lebron james will NEVER get a ring like that. never.

Games are definatley close. I thought the Pistons were much better than the Cavs, but it doesn’t seem to be playing out that way. Tonight’s game was not one where I look back and see the Pistons playing terrible. They were just outplayed at the end. Lebron was amazing. I am a Pistons fan till the end, but if the Cavs win this one, I will admit that Lebron earned it.

I do think San Antonio will get the best of whichever East team gets in.

i will chemo…when LeBitch was driving in and tay got called four the foul…and u cud tell by tay’s reaction he wuznt lyin and in the replay all he did was jump infront of him to the sidee and even his shirt didnt touch LeBitch…so when gay calls like that happen in overtime they hurt. still gotta give it to LeBitch tho

Yes, they are a better team this but so are we. Our bench has been fucking amazing. As NBA TV commentators have said- detroit is like royalty, they show up when they want and we WILL show up for game 6 and 7.

Lebron had an amazing game and is an amazing player. Being the NBA’s superstar, he does get the benefit of the calls. He also gets away with some BS with the refs that nobody else would, like shouting in their faces from a few inches away.

The teams are VERY close. I do think the calls are tilting this one the way of the Cavs.

The most depressing thing for me is that a PLAYER beat a TEAM. I think the way they Pistons play (teamwork)sends a good message to those coming up. The selfish play of a superstar sends a different message. I guess that’s the American way though.

uyen, im pretty sure they wanted to show up tonight. i mean, come on. it was a hell of a showdown.i dont see them being able to do anything else, the main thing they could have done was kept that lead they had at the end of the fourth. ugh. i just cant even think about this anymore. being such a dedicated fan is hard work. very hard. hardest working fans in the nba 🙂

lebanon james. thats what we call him over here in cali.

I have to admit i felt like an ass a few times when i cheered lebron to take yet one more horrible off balance forced shot and it went in but the pistons arent but getting warmed up and lebron is going to have to single handedly beat them through at least another 48min cause the pistons arent fucking around anymore they have finally worked themselves into must win situation. guaransheeeeeeeeeed bitches

this game was the most rediculas game that i have ever seen. the refs looked as if lebron was signing their checks. or maybe just david stern wants a superstar in the playoffs so hes makeing the refs call an unfair game. anytime lebron missed they called a foul on the pistons. and the pistons couldnt get a call ever. it seriously looks like this game was rigged by the refs cuz the only way cleavland came back was cuz foul shots

Wade got the same treatment last year. You look at either of these guys funny, they’re going to the line for 2. As a fan of team basketball, this is very frustrating to watch. If the Detroit team wasn’t in the play offs, I wouldnt be watching this garbage. Its no wonder in international competition, the USA can’t win a medal, since calls are given fairly.

lol I love how Pistons fans bash lebron, its okay I know he owned your entire team, but I think its time you detroit fans finally bowed down to the king, HE BEAT YOUR ENTIRE TEAM! Hell, you can compare him to whoever you want, say whatever you want and think whatever you want, but the fact of the matter is, Cleveland has out played you guys every game except for game 5, then Lebron took over and took on the entire team by himself. The cavs ARE a better team and are going to prove it game 6 when they beat the pistons. Hate to say it but you guys are sore loosers, I can’t believe ANYONE would bash Lebron after that performance. Shit if SHEED had a game like that I would even be amazed at his performance even though I hate the dude.
