Pistons Lose One In Chicago

by | May 14, 2007 | 29 comments

Due to a unscheduled trip to the hospital yesterday, I missed 90% of the Pistons 87 – 102 loss to The Bulls. From what I hear from everyone the only thing I did miss is a Posterization of Hinrich by Flip Murray. Feel free to leave your thoughts about the game in the comments.

I am far from worried, in fact the loss just means that I get to go to game five on Tuesday.

I did find this picture of a very sad Antonio McDyess. This guy wants a championship bad.

The onyl part of the game I caught was the fourth quarter, and from the look of the boxscore it’s a good thing. the Pistons better close this series out on Tuesday and the refs better be fair. I mean when 3 guys foul out of the game from one team… that says something. i think the fact that the Pistons were pulling a Hack-a-Ben really pissed ben off because he went 3-4 from the line when they did that. I really can’t stand him anymore, he pisses me off

I’m definitely not worried – we will take Game 5… but I’m very annoyed with Bulls fans. I have quite a few friends who are Bulls fans and after we took Game 3 they had given up and were telling me “Go Cavs!” Now that the Bulls took Game 4, they are back to believing in the Bulls and saying we should be scared if the Bulls take Game 5. Where were the fans after Game 3? I mean come on, even if our Pistons were down 3 games in a series we would never stop believing! We need to get rid of Ben and the Bulls on Tuesday because I can’t handle seeing the Chicago “fans” again.

    GO PISTONS!!! 🙂

Hey Nat I am sorry that you had to spend most of yesterday at the hospital. I hope everything is okay with whatever the circumstances were. But you didn’t miss anything. The Murray dunk was the only thing.

Yeah, I was sad I couldn’t fly my broom from my Pistons flag hanging from my porch. BUT we do get to go to the game tomorrow too! Nat, are your seats still where you said they were during the season? Cuz our seats are almost exactly where we sat in February when Ben came and you said your nephews were in your seats right in front of us…

pistons were ok at the half ans on the 3 quarter, they were killed but chauncey make a little comeback but it was not enough. Deng kill us with his bunk but Flip had a big dunk over kirk plus the foul need4sheed needs to take that dunk on a video it was sick!!!

C-Webb was scorless again with only one rebound in 17 minutes. I like Webber, but he hasn’t matched up well agaisnt the Bulls the last couple games, and I think they schould move Sheed to the 5 and Dyess to the 4, just to close them out. Regardless, the Pistons played their game, their jumpers just weren’t falling; Rip and Sheed had a bad game, and that hurt the team, but everyone has bad days at work, so we shouldn’t sweat it or hold it against them.
McDyess is a beast- leading the team in rebounds in this game, in this series and for last season (9 RPG).
    GO PISTONS

I have several friends and family from Chicago and their arrogance and expectations are just ridiculous. They are truly blinded.

Antonio better start playing better if he wants that championship bad . . . I understand that Ben Wallace and Chicago’s big men can handle our bigs well enough (Chris Webber, lookin’ at YOU TOO), but Antonio’s shooting UNDER 30 PERCENT FROM THE FLOOR.

I saw that picture of ‘Dyess yesterday and I immediately felt depressed for like 10 seconds. Luckily he didn’t seem too disheartened in the lockerroom doing interviews. He just thinks the teams needs to do what they do and get the win on Tuesday. Oh, and I read in an article that his grandmother is doing much better, which is awesome.

I think what needs to happen in Game 5 is that the team needs to get C-Webb established low early. Let him hit some hooks and get things going so he can be more effective throughout the game. Taking just 8 shots in 2 games seems crazy to me. Also, ‘Sheed should start doing some damage inside instead of taking shit loads of 3’s. 12 in one game!? Unless you’re hitting ’em left and right I don’t think any one person should be taking double digits 3’s in one game!

It was a good game but….It just seemed they couldn’t make those always important free throws. Chauncey missed a few along with tay. I think if they made there free throws we could of pulled out the win. It didnt help that late in the fourth when we tried to use the infamous hack a Ben he made both free throws..So we just get to watch the demise of the bulls on home court.

    Ben to Chicago 60 million
Rasheed 15 tecqs one game suspension
Kicking chicago’s butt in the palace priceless.

Wonder what team the guy/gal who posted “Pistons Suck” roots for. Has to be one that got beat down by them these last couple of years. Chicago, Cleveland, Orlando… The list goes on and on.

Anyways, I did hear a very loud “Detroit Sucks” chant during the game last night too. Let them feel excited now. They will have tears in their eyes come tomorrow.

I see you’ve came back around, but were you when you Bulls were down by 3 games. Just like a Chicago fan, not that it matter anyway because in the end the out come will be the same with the Pistons on top.

seriously sheed not now but was singlehandedly the reason i became a pistons fan and when he leaves it will never be what it is. but with that said with a few exceptions his three point shooting is the antithesis of clutch. I think saunders should emplement a rule that he needs a dunk or a block for any three that he takes. that would at least keep him under ten and if he follows that rule then he at least earns them

when sheed plays like a big first and a deep shooter second they are nearly unstoppable. thats where the pistons rebound discrepancy comes from sheed playing outside and not at the basket, he should be rebounding at least double digits every game with his hands and length. I’m not saying I don’t like his three ball but nothing gets me more hyped than a sick sheed throwdown. i think his vast confidence in himself makes him think his three is just as reliable as his short range jumper and an even quicker way to get points. sadly i think he may just be getting old, he had made some drives lately that look like he is just a half a step behind.

Pistons will win game 5,no doubt about it!
