The NBA announced today that Lindsey Hunter of the Detroit Pistons has been suspended without pay for 10 games for testing positive for phentermine, a substance banned by the NBA/NBPA Anti-Drug Program. Hunter’s suspension will begin with tonight’s game between the Detroit Pistons and the Cleveland Cavaliers.
Hunter just had one of his best games in a long time, scoring 20 points, including four three-pointers, in Detroit’s Monday loss to the Golden State Warriors. Via Inside Hoops
well, that stinks. didnt he know that phentermine is banned! i dont see him going out of his way to take a banned substance. lindsey always seems like such a nice guy…… oh well, we HAVE TO beat the cavs tonight.

ohh mannn thats REALLL harmful
its almost CHEATING in some ways !!!

I don’t think Lindsey was trying to lose weight. He said he made a bonehead mistake and took them by accident. If they made Viagra the same color as regular aspirin, I am sure most people would take it by accident too.
Pistons should appeal, it’s an appetite suppressant, not steroids.
This is stupid.
Punishment too harsh, but at least we don’t have a media sideshow steroid problem round the association.
It’s an amphetamine.. apart from decreased appetite, it also increases stamina and energy.
