Anyone got a DIME?

Now this is just plain cool! A few days ago I was excited to find out that Need4Sheed.com was written up in Dime Magazine. I was unaware of the piece going in the magazine, in fact I didn’t even know about it until my fellow Pistons blogger Matt told me.

What really makes it special is not only did they mention the site, they even put up a picture of the logo (holiday) in the Magazine. This is how it reads.

“These guys are doing it big: they sell t-shirts with Rasheed Wallace’s cartoon images (Our favorite one is a grinning Sheed under the caption “Both Teams Played Hard.”), as well as cartoon shirts of other Pistons and Detroit sports figures. As for the blog, Need4Sheed has lots of Pistons related posts, cool things like video interviews with players, and a Save Sheed and the NBA” petition aimed at asking David Stern to eliminate the zero-tolerance policy on post-whistle complaining.”

Pretty cool huh? But I do wonder what they would have thought if they knew I wasn’t “these guys.” The piece might have read a little bit different. I kinda like the fact that some people think that it is a bunch of people running the site, instead of a totally crazy female Pistons fan.

As you might know the blog has been mentioned in some really cool places like, ESPN.com, Sports Illustrated.com, Slam Magazine, The Detroit Free Press as well as some of my favorite Blogs and Podcasts on the internet and who can forget the Cold Pizza (video) piece. Its aways an honor to be recognized for all the passion and work it takes to do something that gives me so much enjoyment. Thank you DIME for once again making me proud of what I do.

Do if you have a Dime, check out page 22. Also mentioned in the Magazine were two of my favorite blogs, HoopsAddict.com, which I can’t get enough of and The Nugg Doctor.

And since Dime Magazine brought up the T-Shirts, I would just like to tell you that I made a ton of new designs, updated the old ones and added a whole array of t-shirt colors that are now available. So check out the new and improved Need4Sheed.com Official Store, where you can pick from a bunch of new designs like the “Count That Baby And A Foul,” a Fab Five as well as the old favorites like “Ball don’t Lie.” Also as a reminder Ben Wallace’s first appearance as a Bull at The Palace is getting closer, so you might want pick up one of the Sellout shirts if you are still bitter with his departure. I didn’t forget about Valentines day either, I made a special I Heart section of the store where you can wear you heart on your shirt, literally.

Okay, where’s the punchline? I’m not fooled one bit, er-ah, Natalie.(alleged female Pistons die-heart; in reality, the one and only Sheed, penning under a feminine name, just because the whole concept of it all is SHEEDTASTIC)

Yes, I’ve caught a few other of the astute observers, when they’ve asked, “You mean, you’re really a girl?” ;>)

    Hey Nat!,

I realized one thing… you don’t have a face for Dale Davis on the left side of the blog! =(

Also, Chris Webber is definitely darker than Rip in real life.

    few things I noticed

    – Maxiell is just fun to watch
    – Bucks are 1 player away from being
    real good
    – I live in flint and watched Charlie
Bell in H.S. He has by far exceeded
my expectaions. Even though he is
    Flint’s all time leading scorer.
    – Props to Mohammed for being a true
    professional and being ready when
asked. He has gained more respect
    from me.
    – Wish I could say the same about
    Murray.
    – Webber has made passing contagious
even when hes not in the game.
    – Deep down I just don’t think Saunders
can take us all the way.
    – That scares the shit outta me cause
we have a championship roster. And
we can beat any team in the league
    in a 7 game series.
    – If anyone has tax money to
blow, I recommend buying some sort of season ticket package. It is just too much fun at the Palace. Win or lose.

    Thanks again everyone…
I don’t have a Dale Davis cartoon or Amir, I have to do that and I really need to make a CWebb wallpaper. I have just been busy. I will get on it.
