It comes as no surprise that I love the effort and results of Jason Maxiell’s hard work this summer. I knew he was going to good last season when I saw what he could do the few times he was able to get some court time. I think the biggest thing I like about Maxiell’s game is his attitude. He knew what it would take to get some playing time and he has forced Flip to give him a chance this season. He didn’t wait for his time, he made it. Here is a great video on Maxiell’s emergence this summer, courtesy of FSN Detroit.
i think he should be at center with the starting five instead of nazi!!??
I really think that be has a making of a ben wallace. They remind me of each other in someways. I think with sometime and some mintues this year we will be seeing that and then it won’t be a missing ben thing but a Maxiell has filled bens shoes. NOw no one will ever completly fill bens shoes but Jason is the one player I beleive can come close. I hope to see more of him this season.
I share your love for Max. I, too, believe that he can be the four or the five. I don’t want to take anything away from Nazr–the too have different games and I think that they can complement each other.
maxiell wont play until dyess or rasheed leave town
Unfortunately, he’s playing beind Davis, too.
