Maxiell Again

by | Oct 17, 2006 | 6 comments

I’m like a broken record this pre-season touting Jason Maxiell’s play. Maxiell again was the Pistons player of the game as they beat the Utah Jazz 90-85. Maxiell had 14 points 7 rebounds and 3 blocked shots in just 24 minutes. I have included his post game interview, not necessarily because of Maxiell but for the fact that Sheed whips a towel at him right when he’s doing the interview. This is one of the many reasons we love Sheed. I also added a monster Maxiell block at the end of the clip. Does he remind you of someone?

    Ben who?

I’m so excited for our two young guys in Maxiell and Johnson. Maxiell’s already got that workhorse attitude, he wants minutes and he’ll work his ass off for them. 15 days, 15 days…

correct me if I am wrong did Ben not give Maxiell a word of encouragement when he left to keep trying. I am happy he did just that. wait and see he’ll be getting some minutes this season may even see the new guy still. I don’t like Nazr play. he was given up on last year for a reason.

what I am saying is he is not all that great of a player. why did the spurs decide not to go to him in the postseason. there has to be a reason. and I am not smoking anything. I just don;t think he is all that of a great player.
