Joe Dumars Hall of Fame Speech

by | Sep 10, 2006 | 6 comments

Most people outside Detroit don’t know much about Joe Dumars other than he played alongside Isiah during the Bad Boys era and that he drafted Darko instead of Melo and D Wade and then let him go. I for one am one of the biggest Joe Dumars fans. Joe is simply class on and off the court and the speech he gave when he was inducted into the Hall of Fame showed just that. If you missed it please be sure you watch it. Joe is just an all around good guy and I’m happy to that I always looked up to him as a basketball player and a person.

Joe and Sheed are so different. I just wonder how Natalie can love those two differnet guy at the same time, although I alos love Tay and Sheed and the whole Pistons. By the way, I think Tay is like Joe in some way, for example, they are both low-key guys. Anyway, thanks for you great video.

I grew up loving Joe D, when he was a rookie I just started following basketball. From day one Joe D was pure class on and off the court. As for she I love his personality, game and his heart. Although very different I admire them both greatly.

Not every player is a loudmouth like Rasheed. Joe was a great player and is a great businessman. He’s definitely a great role model.
