Rip Hamilton cut his famous braids and shed his mask while teaching local kids in his annual basketball camp. His famous NBA player on hand yesterday was none other than Rookie of the Year Chris Paul. Here is a interview with Rip as he addresses the Heat, next season and his basketball camp. First Busta Rhymes, now Rip Hamilton. Apparently braids because un-popular?

I’m calling it right now; Iverson and Haslem are the next two people to chop off the braids.

HASLEM LOOKS LIKE A BULLDOG WITH THOSE HORRIBLE BRAIDS ON HIS HAIR,AND HE WEARS THE SAME STYLE, HE’S JUST VERY UGLY IN MY OPINION

He looks the same as he did when he played for Coneticutt! Rip don’t listen to what these people say If you feel comftable this way It’s your desicion not thesr’s! Because your hair shouldn’t effect the way you play! It’s about having the desire and the confidence to go out there and get that W (WIN)!!!!

mmmmmmm! yes goodness. He is so fine. That is my man yall. I was wondering when he was gonna cut those braids off. I kinda got tired of them and all those curvy designs. Its much more professional and SEXY! and yes I do get tired of seeing Haslem with those same style braids.

Rip cut his hair because he was frustrated with his stylist, she wasn’t creative enough so the styles were too repeatative. He decided to go back to his old look but it’s only temporary. He’ll bring the braids back after a while.
