The Detroit Pistons Select Will Blalock From Iowa State

Pistons select 6 foot Junior Guard Will Blalock form Iowa State with the 60th pick in the NBA Draft. It looks like they tried to get Chauncey a backup. I don’t know what this means for Alex Acker, but I am sure there are more moves to come.

Will did an interview when he worked out for the Boston Celtics

Scouting Report: A pure playmaker … Creates for his teammates … Makes good decisions with the ball … Protects the possession … Good quickness to get in the lane and score or dish … Ignites the break, especially because of his ability to come up with steals … Defensively, his steal to foul ratio is superb … Jump shooting has come and gone at the college level, and it is a bit of a concern, especially from long range … Gets to the line and converts his free throws.

Here is a YouTube Highlight of a Blalock no look pass that led to a dunk.

Damn… I see so much potential in this guy. I hope they give him good minutes. He reminds me a lot of Steve Nash. I mean he could’ve easily taken that ball up for the lay up, but chose to give a beautiful no look to the trailer. Damn… I hope Flip plays him correctly or we would’ve really missed out in hidden potential.
