One of my favorite past Pistons players is Vinnie Johnson. There was nothing like watching “The Microwave” come into the game and knock down shots like it was nothing. His style, aggressiveness and pull up jumpers were a staple of the Pistons Bad Boys years. I can still picture the way he shot, pulling the ball down from the right side of his body and then up for the release, it was unorthodox but it worked like a charm.
Vinnie still works and lives in the Detroit area and has his own company in the auto intustry called Piston Automotive. I have a video of Vinnie I captured earlier this year. For the younger Pistons fans who never got to see Vinnie play this is a must see. For everyone else who loved and appreciated V.J. this video is a nice stroll down memory lane.

although hes probably not nearly as good as him I think Mcdyess is our Vinnie Johnson not that he heats thing up in a hurry but hes consitentcy off the jump shot.. even though I never got to see him play.. this video shows how much of an outstanding player he was.. hitting 19 consecutive points is unbelievable..
The Microwave is a BADASS!
