February is an interesting month in the NBA. You have All-Star Weekend, the trade deadline, and the free agent signing deadline. Let’s start with All-Star Weekend, Pistons Pistons and more Pistons, 4 out of 5 starters for the Pistons got the call to be All-Stars and rightfully so. The coaches made the right choices. The All-Star game itself gave the Pistons a chance to shine, with the East down huge, the four Pistons shut the building down with their trademark defense and brought the East back for the win.

Joe Dumars made a huge move just before the trade deadline, by trading Carlos Arroyo and the big project, Darko to Orlando. In the process the Pistons pick up a 1st round draft pick and Kelvin Cato, who will give us another big body to wear down Shaq. We now have more than enough cap space to sign Ben Wallace and Billups this summer. Joe D also signed free agent veteran guard Tony Delk for added insurance at the point guard spot.

Let’s not forget about the most important thing of all, Sheed is really starting to get into playoff mode. It all started with a great game against the Clippers with Sheed dueling against Elton Brand, Rasheed had 19 points, 7 rebounds, 2 blocks and 3 treys. Then against the Pacers Sheed had one of his best games of the season dropping 28 points, grabbing 9 rebounds, and sticking 4 threes from the outside. Last but not least is the infamous “let’s kill Sheed game,” where the Cleveland crowd was a little more than rowdy. It was very funny to Sheed laugh when Illgauskas tried to get him back for making him bleed. Illgauskas doesn’t want it for real we all know what would happen to him if he did. With Sheed laughing and sticking threes all over the court, hitting 4 of 5 and scoring 24 points Sheed helped the Pistons end the month at 10-3.

Yet another successful month for the NBA’s best club, with only 3 losses. The Pistons are spoiling me with so much success.

IN SHEED WE TRUST!
