The 11-14 Pistons are in Oklahoma City to take on the 12-12 Thunder. The Pistons need a win to avoid a season sweep by the Thunder and a third straight loss.

Injury Report:

Looks like the Pistons will be without Rip, who’s been bothered by a sore hamstring.  And still no updates on Tayshaun or Ben Gordons’ return.

Richard Hamilton will not be in uniform again for the Pistons.  Without Rip in the lineup last night the Pistons shot 37.1 percent from the field, but Ben Gordon filled in and scored 25 points while starting  Rip’s spot.

Tip is at 8:30 pm and will broadcast on FSN. If you can’t catch the game on television, tune into the call on AM 950 wwj or the game cast over at NBA.com.

Yes it was a W in the win column, but should it have come down to this after blowing another sizable (14 point) lead?

  • Then The Thunder almost pull off OT when Rasheed loses his man with .3 seconds left on the clock.
  • Yes they won the game 88-90, but can we celebrate?
  • No 4th quarter play for Rip Hamilton.

  • Had Arron Afflalo not turned things around when he was on court things may have been different.
  • I was at the game and walked out relieved, but frustrated. It’s been a long season already and I think it’s only going to get much longer Pistons fans.

The Pistons host the Seattle Sonics 3-36 Oklahoma City Thunder tonight at the Palace. Kevin Durant’s team has the worst record in the NBA. which means Detroit better watch out.  Even though the Thunder have lost 13 of 14 on the road this season, and haven’t won a game since November 29th, the way things have been going for Detroit this season they can’t sleep on anyone.

They may have an awful record, but their team website is pretty nice.

Watch the boards: Oklahoma City has outrebounded seven of its last eight opponents, averaging 45.3 boards during this stretch. The Pistons are ranked 25the in the league on the glass.

Watch out for Durant: He’s scored 20 points or more in his last eight games.

Allen Iverson  is a game day decision after his groin pull in Tuesday nights win against the Bulls. Question is, did the AI trade hinder the future and the present for Detroit?

Can Rodney play like he did against the Bulls? In praise of Rodney Stuckey.
