I’m sure Pistons fans are just as excited as Cavs fans that both of their preseason games are against each other.

The Pistons first game will be on December 16th at the Palace at 7:30 and the second on December 20th at Quicken Loans Arena at 7:00.Both games will be broadcast on FSD and locally on the radio on 97.1 The Ticket.

If you want to see some live basketball you can get into the door for about 10 dollars, but my guess is that tickets will be quite easy to come by all season long.

The official 66 game schedule will be announced on Tuesday December 6th.

The Pistons are in Syracuse New York at the Carrier Dome to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves.  This is another non televised preseason game, so you’re going to have to rely on 97.1 The Ticket or to follow the game.   You may be able to find it on the Internets, but that may be a stretch for this one.

Tip off is at 7:30 pm, you can leave your thoughts in the comments.

As a side note, those of you who are thinking of Fantasy Basketball…I’m getting ready to host the Need4Sheed Fantasy leagues again, so keep an eye out for the information.

With new ownership looming and the Pistons starting the Pre-Season, Pistons fans should be quite happy. Well, except the ones who have DISH Network.

The Pistons tip off their pre-season in South Beach against…you know who.  Not beating up on specific people, but it’s funny how fans become fans.  They couldn’t give tickets away in Miami last season and now they have sold out their first pre-season game.  Can you say B-A-N-D-W-A-G-O-N.

Tip off is at 7:30 pm on FSN Detroit and of course NBA.TV.  Follow the game on or listen over at  9.71 the ticket.

For those of you watching…feel free to chat away during the game.

The Pistons win a tight one last night in Milwaukee 95-93 (Box Score). If you take a look at the box score Detroit’s rotation was probably close to what we are going to see on Wednesday when the season begins.
Austin Daye started again for the injured Tayshaun Prince with Ben Wallace at center and Charlie Villanueva as the PF.
Highlights of the Game

Wednesday can’t come soon enough, but I’m a little more excited to see just how this new team gets the crowd going at the Palace on Friday night. What kind of reception will Ben Wallace get, how will Ben Gordon and Charlie Villanueva respond and what does coach Kuester have in store for us.

A season of questions and if the defense doesn’t pick up we know what will be on top of that list.

Pistons 114 Timberwolves 122 (Box Score)

Defense…. We knew it was going to be a problem, and I know it’s the preaseon, but when you score 114 points that is usually an indication that you won the game.

Video Highlights

The 3-3 Pistons host their last preseason game a tonight at 7:30 PM at the Palace of Auburn Hills tonight against (YES) Bill Laimbeer and the 1-5 Minnesota Timberwolves.  Yes I know Bill’s not the head coach nor is he playing, but it’s nice to mention his name whenever I can.  Check out his return video interview at

The game isn’t on television, but you can listen to it from your radio on WWJ AM 950 or follow the gamecast over at

And if you cant do either…make sure you read a little on one of my favorites Antonio McDyess (Ice 4Dyess).

The season is right around the corner and PISTONS WEEK starts this Sunday at FSN!

The Pistons third pre-season game tips at 6 PM at the Palace of Auburn Hills.  The 2 and 0 Pistons take on the 1-0 Atlanta Hawks.  No television broadcast, but you can listen to the broadcast on the radio at 97.1  The Ticket or trough your computer over at

The Piston we are all waiting to see (Charlie Villanueva) is expected to miss his third consecutive preseason game because of hamstring injury.
