Bynum worried about being rushed before the season

Timing is everything. Chemistry is something that you don’t just throw in the frying pan and mix it up with another something, then throw it on top of something, then fry it up and put it in a tortilla and put it in a microwave, heat it up and give it to you and expect it to taste good. You know? For those of you who can cook, y’all know what I’m talking about. If y’all can’t cook, this doesn’t concern you. Yeah, I do feel rushed, especially out there playing, because we’re trying to learn so much in a short amount of time,Us having a new coach, a new system, new defensive principles, everything is just compact. And to be the point guard, I have to run the team and tell everybody else where to be, when they’re doing wrong or when they’re doing right. You have to know everything down pat, and it’s a short amount of time to know that. But we’ve got to do it, we’ve got to fight through it. We’ll be ready. It’s just that it doesn’t feel good knowing, being out there and hesitating that half a second. That second is actually everything in the league.”

(Ben Wallace) can still play even at his age,”

Tayshaun Price

“It’s going to be grueling but we have to play more back-to-backs,” Prince said. “There will be some nights where guys aren’t playing as many minutes, but no there’s no excuses.”

Ben Gordon

“I had a lot of time to think over the summer, and I just want to be as much of a leader as I can be, whether it be vocally, or definitely with my play,That’s something that’s needed on this team this year. The last two years, I felt there was a lack of that role from our players, so I just want to step up and take more ownership in the team.”

Joe Dumars on Jonas Jerebko

Doing the stuff he does – his effort, his energy – we missed him last year big time,”

Jonas Jerebko

Playoffs is definitely our goal, and we’re going to make it,” Jerebko said. “I know we’re going to be a lot better. We’re going to work harder. We’re definitely a better team than last year.
