There was a scary situation at The Palace of Auburn Hills Saturday night when Detroit’s star Andre Drummond collided with the Pacers Roy Hibbert.  Andre and Hibbert were going after a loose ball when they collided.  Drummond immediately fell to the ground grabbing his head.

The entire crowd at the Palace was seemed horrified as Dre was down on the floor for about 10 minutes.  He was walked off court with Arnie Kandor and Mike Abdenour on his side to a roaring ovation.  He did not return.

No word yet on his injury, I’m sure until he see’s doctors.

Let’s hope the future of this team is just fine.

Rodney-Stuckey-Pistons-vs-NuggetsRodney Stuckey will be out for the foreseeable future as the Pistons announced yesterday that he would be having surgery to mend a broken thumb. No he didn’t break his digit fighting for a rebound of driving the lane. He slammed his thumb in his car door.

“Stuckey broke a bone in his right thumb and the Pistons said Thursday that Stuckey, injured Wednesday, will have surgery Friday and that a timeline for his return will be determined after the procedure.”

Say what you will about me, but I’m not too broken up about Stuckey’s future with the Pistons. Don’t get me wrong I don’t wish the guy any pain and I know slamming your hand in a car door is painful, but I won’t be missing his antics here in the D.

The injury doesn’t help Stuckey whose future on the team and in the rotation was iffy at best considering all the pieces that Detroit now has and the Stuckey’s issues and recent play. With Brandon Jennings, Singler, Caldwell-Pope and Chauncey Billups on the bench Stuckey may be out before he even gets to play this season.
