  • The good: One last time to hear Mason introduce Ben Wallace during the Pistons intros.
  • The bad: The close of the season and having to say goodbye to Ben Wallace.
  • The unknown: The possibility of tears out of a man who has been feared for years!

Head out the Palace to see Ben Wallace in uniform for the last time get your tickets directly from the Pistons with no ticket fees!

Don’t forget about the new and improved Salt-N-Pepa who will be performing at the half!

The Pistons take on the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight at the Palace for thier first offical home game this season. It’s also the first official home game with new owner Tom Gores at the helm.

The Pistons didn’t “wow” thier fans on Monday in Indiana, in fact they threw up a stinker and plenty of you are ready to give up. As I mentioned before, it’s just one game and I have a feeling we are going to see something marginally better from Detroit tonight.

I for one am really excited to head out to the Palace for the game. I know the new managament team at the Palace has a bunch of different things in store to kick off the season.

This will be the first time the Pistons Officially step on court representing new ownership and I for one am excited to see the changes.

May the Gores be with you!

  • The good: Jonas Jerebko’s hustle.  Playing at the Palace for the first time this season. Greg Monroe not getting into any foul trouble and no #buffoonery.
  • The bad :  The Indiana game.
  • The unknown: What lineup “Larry” is going to throw on court.

GO Pistons!

Detroit Pistons billionaire owner Tom Gores was harassed at his house Sunday night … when two unidentified men showed up at his doorstep, demanding over a MILLION bucks for the Mormon Church. It’s a bizarre tale — we’re told Tom was specifically targeted by the duo, which tracked him down at his home in L.A.’s exclusive Mulholland Estates, the same gated community where Charlie Sheen lives.

Law enforcement sources tell us, the men knocked on Tom’s door at 10pm Sunday night, insisting he accept a delivery of an unspecified item.

Words were exchanged, but eventually the weirdos took off — leaving behind a package full of papers, one of which demanded more than a million bucks for the Mormon Church.

As for motive … unclear — except that Tom is filthy rich, worth an estimated $2.4 billion. LAPD is investigating.

A rep for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints tells us, “We haven’t heard anything about this, but it certainly has nothing to do with us, and it sounds very bizarre.” Calls to Tom were not returned. Via TMZ

This may not be an issue for someone like you or I when you get two unwanted guests at your doorstep handing you a pamphlet and asking for a donation. They knew what they were doing, and you know it wasn’t just the idea of two members of the Mormon community.

Personally I have this scenero all made up in my head that Gores took matter into his own hands when trying to be strong armed for a million dollars.

Somewhere I think there are two terrified Mormons wishing they would have never dealt with with “The Gores.”

The 22-41 Pistons come are back from their three day break to try to regroup for a Sunday evening game at the Palace against the 16-45 Wizards.

Charlie V on the remaining games: “Are we going to have a terrible season or are we all going to come together and make a push? The guys decided we’re going to make a push,”

We’re holding you to that Charlie.

  • The good: The Pistons have won six consecutive home matchups with the Wizards, who are an NBA worst 1-28 on the road.
  • The bad: The Pistons are 5 1/2 games behind eighth-place Indiana in the Eastern Conference.
  • The unknown: Who’s going to play and for how long.

Young Austin Daye is coming off a career high game. If you though he looked young on court for Detroit, look at this interview I dug up on YouTube.

The 5-10 Pistons are hosting the 5-9 Milwaukee Bucks Friday night at the Palace. The Bucks, will look for a win to avoid their first five game losing streak since the 2008-2009 season.

The Bucks are one of the best defensive teams in the league limiting opponents to a league low 90.5 points per game and a 42% shooting percentage.

The stats prove Detroit’s affinity to collapse in the third quarter. Detroit is shooting a league worst 38.9 percent in the quarter.

In Arnie Kander We TrustBasketball fans in the great state of Michigan don’t expect their players to go injury free all season long, but what they know they can count when they do is that the Pistons have one of the best, if not the best strength and conditioning coaches in the NBA.

Players with chronic injuries, possible career ending injuries or players that are playing in the twilight of their careers tend to know just what our behind the scenes gem can do.  Just ask Antonio McDyess, Chris Webber, Ben Wallace or (lets hope) Tracy McGrady just what Arnie can do.

Sure he may have some voodoo like remedies for what ails them, and he may push players to their limits, but the man shows results.

The newest member of the Pistons to be Arine’s patient/pupil is Jonas Jerebko.  The unfortunate injury in the Pistons first pre-season game that has sidelined The Swede for what looks like the entire season was something that both Jonas and the Pistons didn’t need.  Besides rooting for the speedy and full recovery for one of our favorite players, we can be confident in the fact that he’s in the best hands possible.

Arnie is on the job 24/7, literally.

It seems as though Arnie really has taken matters in his hands by inviting Jonas to stay at his home during his rehab.  Yes…Arie and Jonas are roommates.

If that’s not taking your work home with you I don’t know what is.

So the new friends will work and live together.  And if that wasn’t good enough…it will be documented .

COMING SOON:

Jonas Jerebko and Arnie Kander star in BOSOM BUDDIES – The Second Season  available on DVD and Blu-Ray.

Jonas Jerebko and Arnie Kander - Bosom Buddies

Ok so that’s not entirely true, but this 80′s reference to Tom Hanks start was the first thing that came to mind.  Now I’m not implying anything when it comes to the cross dressing, but Arine really does make a for a handsome woman.

If you didn’t think that Kander was a special kind of guy, this is all the proof you need.  As we say in Detroit…In Arnie We Trust.
