Soon to be classic Pistons video

Posted on September 1st, 2009 by Natalie Sitto

As you know I pass my offseason days by watching old Pistons videos whether they be epic playoff battles, championship glory or simple videos.  Today I was reminded of painful memories as a Pistons fan, something I care not get into on this beautiful day in Michigan.  Then I came across this video in my vault and if brought out joy and pain.

Despite the fact that this video was put together pretty recently, it seems like lifetime ago.

Get the Flash Player to see this player.

I would like to get your take on the matter…does it put a smile on your face or cause you pain over what was, and maybe what could have been if things didn’t go the way they did last season?

The Pistons – A Team of Male Models?

Posted on August 28th, 2009 by Natalie Sitto

It’s not uncommon for children to follow in their parents footsteps career wise.  Seriously how many NBA, NFL and MLB sons are in the league right now?

It’s also not uncommon for parents to want their kids to be something they never were and maybe push them that way.

What am I getting at?  Well I just noticed something the other day…I think Jason Maxiell’s parents were hoping he would be a male model because I had no idea that Jason’s middle name was not “baby eater” but it DIOR.

Yes Dior, Jason Dior Maxiell….  If Jason went that rout he would look a little something like this.

Not bad huh?

Then I really thought about it, the Pistons would make great models.   Austin Day and Tayshaun Prince have that this wiry frame that fashion designers like Prada love and Charlie Villanueva just has that “look.”

And Rip…well he likes to be up on his game and considers himself a fash0nista …especially with the furs.

The Detroit Pistons and Richard Hamilton Remember Bill Davidson

Posted on March 15th, 2009 by Natalie Sitto

It was a sad day at the Palace.  The Detroit Pistons played their first game after the loss of beloved owner William Davidson.  The Pistons honored him in many ways Sunday afternoon, but none fitting as much as the rose and his picture that adorned his regular courtside seat at The Palace he built.

Rip Hamilton made it known in more ways than one.

Could Rip Have A New Role?

Posted on January 13th, 2009 by Natalie Sitto

With Rip possibly coming back for tonight’s game against the Bobcats, Pistons fans are still wondering just how he’s going to fit in the new lineup.  Some say AI should be the sixth man, some think it should be Rip, some think their time should be split.  The thing is, Curry may not know what he’s doing until game time. Either way, some egos will bruised or the Pistons will be putting a less efficient team on the floor.

I don’t know about Iverson’s other skills, but Rip should really think about taking a back seat on the team. It seems that his singing career could blow up if only he had the right management.

“In addition to acquiring Allen Iverson in a three-for-one trade with the Denver Nuggets, the Pistons agreed to a three-year extension with Richard Hamilton, a team source told ESPN.com’s Chad Ford.

The new contract is worth $34 million, with the first two years guaranteed. The third year is only a partial guarantee, the source told Ford.” Via ESPN

Some think he’s after LeBron in 2010.

Rip Will Play

Posted on May 30th, 2008 by Natalie Sitto

“I ain’t got no choice,” Hamilton said. “I told guys today don’t look at me as a handicap out there. I am ready. I am good to go.”

Hamilton said he talked to his father Thursday, and his dad simply told him to “spit” on it.

“This is now or never,” Hamilton said. “Usually when you talk to your dad he is like take your time son. But he said spit on it. You are at war right now. You ain’t got no choice.” Via The Detroit News
